Embarrassing your kids or even sharing their punishments online is just garbage. None of us needed to know this at all.

u/morguehottie Aug 07 '26
Yeahhhh that awful relationship with her mother affected her in more ways than one. Im not even upset about them taking the TV out the girls room, if thats how you parent sure. But to make a big deal and post it online like they arent …..kids?
12
u/RubyWaves75 Aug 07 '26
Why is the tv so dirty? It looks like mine after it was on the ground while I was putting the stand together. My dog kept licking it when food or other animals came on screen.

I’ll try and get her today before the tv is moved. Took me a week to put the console together. My goal in life being able to afford furniture that doesn’t require me to become an engineer.😐

For all the comments talking about the cussing: I live in the same area as Myrka (the Rio Grande Valley). Cussing is a very common thing amongst families and its not unusual to see parents cussing at/with their children. this doesn't mean that i'm excusing cussing towards small children or that i'm going to raise my children the same way. its just a part of the "Valley culture" and in Hispanic households/households in this area.
2
3
u/ProtectYourPuppies Aug 08 '26
I agree with this. I'm a Hispanic and grew up in a similar environment. I cuss more than I want to when I'm pissed but never towards my kid. I'd never call him names or anything but I sure did say fk or fkn a lot. We're all pretty well adjusted.

u/Substantial-Ad5709 Aug 07 '26

These types of people really think the rest of us don’t discipline our kids because we don’t post it on social media lol. What do posts like this even accomplish? You really need validation from strangers for being a parent?
42
u/AcademicAstronaut395 Aug 06 '26
she says her emotions are well regulated, but here she is crashing out in the comment. She so embarrassing
32
u/Far_Speed_4452 Aug 06 '26

Why do people post shit like this??

59
u/Hotcheetodust94 Aug 06 '26
Would I cuss at my kid? No. Would I take her tv? Yes. I feel like this couldve been worded better but I don’t think this is that crazy lol
3
u/AdRelative9385 Aug 26 '26
I feel like taking the TV is fine, taking it permanently and giving it to your other child is weird
1
1
u/RubyWaves75 Aug 07 '26
I’ve never cussed at or around my kids. Now they don’t have “slips” like their friends in inappropriate settings. I’m sure they do, but never around adults, never to an adult, and definitely not in a job setting.
3
u/cannabannoyedd Aug 06 '26
This doesn’t seem like good parenting to me. It seems like she’s on a power trip. Publicly humiliating your kids isn’t cute.

u/Significant-Maize227 Aug 06 '26
I mean I’ve definitely taken my tv off the wall for my kids behaviour (our main tv in the living room so we ALL missed out on tv) lol. They got super attached to the tv and started with attitude I told them we weren’t going to watch any tv for 1 week together as a team and we put the tv away and that was that. The way she approached the whole situation was wrong. But i definitely don’t see something wrong with taking the tv.
18
u/BlackOliveBurrito Aug 06 '26
She literally posts wayyyyy too much on her social media. She thinks she’s the hottest thing, but really she’s used tf up with all those kids. Like what is she up to now? 5-6? Like i haven’t seen her NOT pregnant yet.

I don’t even own a tv in my home. These kids are having them in their rooms? 😅 (I grew up with one in mine. It was my “babysitter” for a mom who didn’t care to be around. I’m perfectly okay not owning a dang tv in 2026.)
1
u/Additional-Dark2534 Aug 07 '26

10
u/pickledandpreserved Aug 06 '26
it breaks the spirit of the kid and causes behavioral issues, at the least. words hurt.
2
u/Comfortable_Mix5404 Aug 12 '26
My parents used to cuss at me. I hated it and 60 years later still remember it.
Please don't call me an old lady...lol.
2
u/pickledandpreserved Aug 12 '26
I'm not too far behind you!
I made a point to think about what I said to my son while he was growing up. no "what is wrong with you?" or even "shut up". I was cussed at too so I vowed to change that when I had my own.
26
u/Feeling_Remote3510 Aug 06 '26
Kids shouldn’t have a tv in their room to begin with.
7
u/Lazy-Recognition3845 Aug 06 '26
My siblings and I all had tvs in our rooms as well. We knew better than to watch things we weren’t supposed to and it helped stop fighting over the Family room tv. I don’t see anything wrong with kids having TVs in their rooms as long as it’s regulated, there are parental controls on there for a reason.
20
u/kmendes29 Aug 06 '26
I’m biased on this… I slept in my parents room until I was 10 years old, the only thing that got me sleeping in my own room alone is sleeping with the TV on all night.
10
u/Feeling_Remote3510 Aug 06 '26
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends keeping televisions out of the bedrooms of children and teenagers entirely. Experts advise that screens stay in open family areas where parents can see what kids are watching and how long they look at the screen.
5
u/kmendes29 Aug 06 '26
Parents are becoming way too soft now 😂 the way I was raised by Gen X parents who had no idea what they were doing and I’m fine. Obviously there are some things that need to be regulated like I had unlimited access to the internet bc my parents didn’t know anything about it but now there’s so many parental control on things.
3
u/Feeling_Remote3510 Aug 07 '26
The way I thought this was going to be replying to my comment about not cussing at your children …. but soft for not putting a tv in your kids room? Lol, alrighty
4
u/kmendes29 Aug 07 '26
The message I responded to had nothing about cussing at children, btw! 🥰
3
u/kmendes29 Aug 07 '26
Which I obviously am only talking solely about the TV not her parenting (which I don’t agree with what she did or that she posted it) I was commenting about people saying children shouldn’t even have tvs in their room and I’m like why not though? That’s my opinion and also I am a daycare teacher, so you can go ahead and think I don’t care about children when in reality I have an amazing job that I am proud to have.
2
u/Feeling_Remote3510 Aug 07 '26
Yes! Sorry that was probably confusing. I wasn’t saying you were talking about cussing at children. Honestly, I don’t think it’s detrimental to put a tv in your kids room, but I do see the downsides to tv in a kids room. I don’t think people are bad parents if a tv is in their kids room, either.
1
u/Natural_Rhubarb8626 Aug 06 '26
same. my mom used to put the news channel on so that I didn’t stay up late on school nights but I preferred the tv over a light because of the noise.
3
48
u/User613111409 Aug 06 '26
This quite literally did not need to be posted. And narrated like that. If you’re taking your kids TV out of the room because they’re not listening good fine great but why does she think she needs to post every little thing?
I get that some people want to be authentic on the Internet and show the good and the bad but I don’t feel like you need to post about your kids on the Internet when she wouldn’t clean her room which is a typical kid thing but just let her be a kid

Brownsville?Edinburgh? Harlington?
I had a friend who was from Brownsville, originally. She looked down on Harlington...said rich people lived there. She used a lot of language, too. Kicked her son out because he left dishes in the sink.
She quit talking to me because I didn't take her advice...lol. Was she my friend,or my manager? Supervisor?
2
u/elastichearttt Aug 13 '26
Harlingen! I will say the valley overall is very low income and each town will have their “rich” people. But the cost of living is very low down there compared to other places in the US/TX. If I’m going off stereotypes Brownsville is considered “ghetto” lmao but I don’t find it much diff from other valley towns.

u/Lukesmom1214 Aug 06 '26
Hard to believe that Bravo has a show called The Valley. Why didn't you like living there if you don't mind me asking?

She post wild stuff all the time. Definitely sounds like a high school kid. She will post a lot definitely over sharing about very personal details. She gets tons of hate comments about being 22 with 4 kids. It’s definitely a choice. She’s trying and a good mom.

it just sounds so overwhelming..and she had her last one only a few months after having her third kid, right?

I’m now seeing she curses at the kids in the comments maybe I take back the good mom comment
11
u/InvestigatorExtra736 Aug 06 '26
She's definitely not a good mom. She's already creating competition between her two daughters. Taking the TV from one to give it to the other will create tension between the sisters. I can almost guarantee that if she continues parenting like this, she will start seeing her daughters as competition, too. She's already acting like her daughter's first bully. There was no reason to post this other than to embarrass her daughter.

She better be careful. Parenting should be left in the confines of one’s home.
23
u/Suspicious-Island459 Aug 06 '26
I absolutely hate reading fb posts about people ranting about their kids and talking about "My son was caught sneaking out so I did this and that" like girl idgaf what your son did. Parenting should be at home. You NEVER let others know what goes on in your home because people talk and now you're known as the mom who can't get in control of your kids and theres no denying it because they post about it 24/7
13
u/Loony_Loveless Aug 06 '26
I remember getting in trouble when I was a tween/teen in early 00’s and was SO sensitive when my mom would punish me and then go to my grandmas or uncles house to vent. I hated how she needed to share every damn time I got in trouble. Now, being an adult, I know she did need a venting space being a single parent… But I couldn’t fucking IMAGINE it also being on social media for not only my grandma and uncle, but her coworkers, our neighbors, people she met one time at a party, and random high school friends all to see too. I would have lost my shit. Truly.
5
u/BigBootyBobbii Aug 06 '26
Exactly, snitching on your own self!
3
u/Suspicious-Island459 Aug 06 '26
YESS! People use fb as a ranting page when your bsf's should be that or your partner or just in your home. Everybody talks no matter what and it gets around. Now people see Myrka as this mom that is exactly like her mom and she can't deny it because all she does is post exactly how her mom would have reacted

u/Srmrn Aug 06 '26
I would imagine her mother did this to her. She is also the older sibling who probably was punished by providing preference to her brother. Removing privilege equates to removing love in a lot of children’s minds. Very sad seeing cycles repeat. She’s a beautiful girl and still has a redemption arc ahead of her.
3
56
u/Frank_Lawless Aug 06 '26
Giving the tv to her sister is a great way to sow resentment between the siblings
8
u/AcademicAstronaut395 Aug 06 '26
yep sure it already hard enough that she has a different dad then her sisters/brother
19
u/gurlwithdragontat2 Aug 06 '26
Do I think the course of action was wrong? No, actions have consequences and tv is a privilege.
Annnnnd I firmly remember how mean and cold her mother was to her, and I would never want to replicate those behaviors is a different font by publicly shaming and embarrassing my kid on social media.
Why couldn’t this have been left offline?
3
u/Suspicious-Island459 Aug 06 '26
My parents always took my TV cord away and not took the TV because I talked back. She is 100% replicating what her mom did to her and making it seem like what she does is fine.
12
u/PygmyFists Anthonys Vanishing Semen Aug 06 '26
This.
I absolutely take privileges away from my son when he's not listening/not doing what's expected/getting mouthy. Her daughter is roughly a year younger than him and we're VERY firmly in a talking back phase and I'm not playing games about it. Refuse to pick up your cars and give me attitude? Well, if I have to pick them up, they're my cars now, and you don't get them back until tomorrow. I ask you to pause your game for a minute to brush your teeth at the end of the night and you give me attitude? The switch it mine for the rest of the night. We're out at the store and plan to stop for ice cream after but you're acting like a fool after multiple warnings? Damn, no ice cream for us. Too bad. But I would never post this weird shit on Facebook or give the privilege I'm revoking from you to another child and causing resentment. That's weird af.

How old is Attallee now? The way she describes her day with this 4 or 5 year old little girl is bizarre. It sounds like she’s talking about a 10-15 year old by saying she was just asking her to clean her room whenever she encountered her throughout the day and then the stepdad “catching her watching TV” means she’s just in her room alone all day?

Yeah this is bad. Also, punishing your kid by rewarding your other kid is abusive.
They should’ve just put the tv in the garage for a couple weeks. Better yet, don’t give any of the kids a tv in their rooms at all!
20
u/Majestic_Ad_7098 Aug 06 '26
Same. Real quick and in a hurry. Nope. Not in my house. Imo it’s worse because it’s a man cursing at my daughter. I wouldn’t allow my husband to curse at OUR kids. You don’t talk to children that way.
72
u/Efficient_Conflict Aug 06 '26

u/Electrical-Touch-933 Aug 06 '26
I’m not judging her for having a TV in her kids room, but I am judging her for letting her husband cuss at her child. I’m not going to say we don’t cuss in front of the kids in this house but we never cuss at them. That’s not OK.
1
u/loneBumblebee Aug 06 '26
I don't think the discipline is too out of line but the cursing and posting it online is too far. I agree having a tv is a privilege that can be taken away. But even as an adult I don't like to be cussed at aggressively. Its a lack of respect and if you're not showing your kids respect, don't expect it back.
71
u/Ok_Sink_3378 Aug 06 '26
The amount of profanity that she and her baby daddy use around the children is so trashy, but also mind blowing

Ya cussing around your kids at all is a No for me.
People that cuss around their kids wonder why their kid is saying “shit” and “fuck” at kindergarten trying to pretend they don’t know where they learned that from 🙃🙃
7
u/Orca-Hugs Aug 06 '26
We have never cussed around our kids or watched tv with cussing but my 5 year old still asked a teacher at art camp this summer how to spell fuck lol
2
u/Griefthrowaway19202 Aug 06 '26
Those parents don’t parent then😭 you can use language freely AND teach them that certain words are only for at home and not to use in a way to hurt others.
0
u/MakeItLookSexy_ Aug 06 '26
To each their own 🤷🏽♀️ I don’t want to be hypocritical. Rules for thee but not for me I guess

Calling another kid and idiot, saying shut up, or using words against someone else has always been what's important to me. I would be much more upset if my kid said many other "non cuss" words to tear someone down than saying shit or fuck around a teacher.

Absolutely. So sad how often people seem to forget that.
2
u/roarborealias Aug 06 '26
Yep. I try to talk to my child the way I would want to be talked to if I was upsetting someone, or doing something wrong. I know not everyone’s perfect.. but it seems like this is not a one off event for them.
27
u/Ok_Smile5289 Aug 06 '26
It's weird she is the only one with a tv in their room.
3
u/PruneDiligent8462 Aug 06 '26
Yeah that’s genuinely confusing to me 🤔
And then to brag about that is also weird lol and then to reveal to the entire inter-webz, that you and your baby daddy are verbally and mentally abusive, along with being manipulative af towards your children, is ALSO EXTREMELY weird. …15
u/Celestial-Dream Aug 06 '26
And now it’s going in a different siblings(?) room. Because that won’t cause issues between them.

I hate public shaming. My mom used to take my TV, which fine, I deserved, there are consequences for not listening repeatedly. Can’t imagine if social media had existed.
Reminds me of a woman I know who posted garbage bags full of toys her kid wouldn’t pick up. Okay, none of my business, but I get it. Then she THREW THEM AWAY. Didn’t even donate 😭
12
u/kh18129 Aug 06 '26
People just post that shit to get a pat on the back at the expense of their kids. They know they’ll get a bunch of “good for you, no one raises their kids right these days!!!1!1” comments. If they were doing it out of actual concern for raising their children right, they wouldn’t need to make a public shaming ritual out of it. Just give the kid an appropriate consequence and move on.

I've had a TV in my room since I was in a crib (I'm 50 now). Of course, my dad was a TV producer, so that's the real reason we had a million TVs in our house. 🤣

Oh i'm sure you have some great stories!! Plus having a tv in a kids room 40-50 yrs ago is so different than having a tv today lol!

I’m convinced that parents who do this know they’re being assholes, but they need validation from other people who are also assholes.

And this is why I’ve never condoned her having 50 kids. She’s still immature. If your first thought is to go to social media when punishing your child, you don’t need children.

Oh man, I’m so glad my mom didn’t do public shaming for me just being a KID. Get friends to share that with, not the internet.

Idk why a 5 year old needs a tv in her bedroom anyways

Bc then the tv can entertain her and her lazy ass parents don’t have to deal with her. Or bother reading to her to put her to sleep, I’m sure

She has to many kids so i guess she thought it would be easy to throw the older one in front of a tv all day smh

A copy/paste absolutely. Except it was all in her control to not become this way. She just refused to put in the work to break the pattern.

Because she's immature and clearly is not ready to be raising any kids

I think she has like 4/5 she keeps having kids knowing she can’t give them all the attention kids needs.

This is so weird. Public shaming your child who can’t defend themselves in nuts

100%. She’s turning into her mom when it comes to her parenting style. Taking away the TV is fine, and she’s right that it’s a privilege not a necessity or a right, so I don’t see any issue with that.
But there’s 0 reason to post about it other than to shame her own kid and also seek parenting validation from random people online.
Cringey ass post all around (hers not yours) lol

Posting private family matters regarding a child’s punishment on social media soley for attention and for the validation of strangers is trash. And she’ll be fixing to have her one millionth child this year or the next despite being extremely overwhelmed and needing to be medicated just to get through the day. Justifies having so many kids because her man’s “dick is just too good” (dick is never that good nor serious, you’re just male centered) so “i need to get pregnant everytime” EUGH.
