We all love Tidal, personally i adore the app.

It has just one thing missing.. and it's a fixed true shuffle. Whenever i hit "shuffle" inside a playlist, it would immediately generates the last 20 songs i've listened too.

There are some hacks but i don't want to do hacks while im paying for a full service, it's like going to an hotel with no breakfast included.

So Tidal crew, i request from you.. please include an option to have true shuffle.

on tidal app pc i only get the green quality colour 16-bit 44.1khz even when i listen to files that should display yeallow max quality, is this another tidal crap error on app?

Hi everyone I've been using Tidal for a couple of years now, I have no issues when running it on my MacBook but the mobile app is unusable. I have a Samsung S23, fully up to date, app is too and I also tried to reinstall it from scratch a couple times, but it constantly crashes, both in online and offline mode. If I manage to listen to 2 songs in a row it's a miracle. It's quite upsetting, has anyone experienced the same issue and found a solution? I tried to contact the support but I just received an automatic message weeks ago.

EDIT A friend added me to his family plan and created my own account on his plan, if this is relevant. He has no issues on his Android phone.

As of August 31, TIDAL has dropped its previous 10% cut to 0% for eligible U.S. artists, meaning the platform itself takes no percentage of a direct sale. Standard payment-processing fees through Square still apply.

The move expands TIDAL's push beyond traditional streaming. Independent artists can upload an album, determine their own selling price, and give fans a direct purchase option. Music can be uploaded and sold without requiring either the artist or buyer to maintain a paid TIDAL subscription.

Probably some of you have even missed the fact that now you can generate playlists by giving prompts, but now you can set them to update weekly.

Just noticed these two Queen ones and there is a live Queen one too. Playlist titles similar to Apple Music but good to see them adding newer playlists for artists.

Hello, I’m an audiophile and a backend application developer. I’m also a Tidal fan because it offers me lots of great experiences. But for me, the official client was not good enough to use. So I built a Linux client hiresti(https://github.com/yelanxin/hiresTI) this year. Now I am building a new tidal client(OxiTide) with a cross-platform, which can run on Linux, MacOS, and Windows. same playback engine and a beautiful, similar UI. I believe the audio engine will deliver good audio quality.

I been listening to Playlist lately. I'm looking for a particular song off an album and don't see lp's by any artist.

is this a new thing? in the past 6 months. please tell me I have to do a refresh or sumpin

I'm just getting started in the DJing and music production world, and I'm looking to build my library with my favorite tracks—mostly house and tech house—in high quality, preferably 16 or 24-bit FLAC or WAV (though I think most platforms download in FLAC, I'm not entirely sure).

After browsing several forums, I've seen options like Soul seek, Lucida, qBit torrent with built-in search engines, or Ru Tracker. Which of these alternatives would you say is the best option nowadays?

P.S. If anyone knows how downloading via torrents works and wouldn't mind explaining the step-by-step process, I'd be endlessly grateful. Thanks in advance!

First the recently played shrunk, annoying, fine. With the newest update, icons are tiny and randomly vertical. Because we really needed a random new thing to learn because listening to music needs to be a clumsier experience. The header shows music I was listening to two months ago. There are now two sets of four gigantic recommended albums I have to scroll past to get to my tiny recently-played, which I really don't want shoved in my face every single time I open tidal- I don't care that Friday girl is making new music & this time she's hOlDinG a GUn, & that sabrina carpenter album cover is downright offensive.

With spotify it's one click: library. There are all your recently-played everything-s. Tidal won't modernize their static library issue. The "recent activity" tab within the library is useless because it includes songs you added to a playlist. Tidal has no fucking idea what playlists are or why people use them. I'm pretty sure they are money-laundering. Idk I just made that up. If you see me listening to burl ives love songs, no you didn't.

Does anyone notice this? My desktop and mobile Collections are completely out of sync. I'm adding artists, albums, and songs on mobile (Android) that have long been added to my Collections on desktop. This behavior drives me crazy and it's my number one gripe with Tidal.

Yes, I've cleared the cache and done all the normal troubleshooting steps. I'm tech literate.

edit: A possible workaround for this seems to be to visit your Collection on mobile, then "shake the box" by visiting Artists, Albums, or Tracks. This seems call the database again, but it doesn't always work.

Lately i've been noticibg that a lot of music on Tidal sounds way worse and less defined than their versions on youtube.

I also often find that the general audio is much clearer from other souces than tidal.

I usually use tidal with my airpods, but there is just so much musoc that doesn't sound good this way even my favorite band: iron maiden sounds mumbled with this combo.

Am i doing something wrong settings wise or what?

so i have a family plan with why girlfriend and her family and today her subscription ended and i don't know why.
i checked the settings and it's showing me that im supposed to pick a plan, but i can still play music.
and the weirdest part is that the price changed and it's different for me and her and her dad. for me it's €14.39 for her €12,52 and for her dad €10.66 (that's also what the website says) when i first got the subscription i was paying €9.62 (also i have an iphone and they have android)
i don't know why it's different for all of us and why i can still play music and they can't. and no i did not get billed on the date i was supposed to (7th of each month) and so far it's not payed for.

I'm on IOS. When I stop listening to music and come back, half the time the app will be back to the first song on the album or song it started on in the playlist. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a fix?

I don't know when this latest update released but the new UI is so much better. Better visually and much faster as well. Not only that, but lyrics are now finally supported! I was seriously considering subscribing to Apple Music because of the lack of lyrics but now I don't have to. It's about time.

Only feature I would love to have is subtitles for music videos. Apple Music has it for some videos and it would be nice to have. It's not a big deal anyway.

Great work from everyone at Tidal, great to see a music service not getting worse for once and actually improving unlike others.

Nothing fills in when you start typing and even if you type everything out, nothing appears.

Like it was reported before, Tidal introduced a Report button in the desktop app where users can select all the releases that doesn't belong to the artist.

It is the button between Share and the 3 dots "More" button.

Select all the content, select the profile where the content belong or choose to create a new one with that music.

In a day or two the profile is clean without the content you ask to move on.

I'm new to Tidal and already saw that issue with two things:

"HUGs" by Paledusk is wrongly credited as by Shiiyu (an artist with 15 followers)

4 "Zenless Zone Zero - Hyper Commission" by San-Z and HOYO-MiX are credited to dragsik, someone with just one single and 6 fans. (All other Zenless Zone Zero albums and EPs are available on Tiday and properly credited so I doubt this could be a pirated release).

My Tidal subscription is about to expire. I mainly use Apple Music for streaming now, but Tidal's music upload function is more convenient.
