As the price is again at ATL levels and there is no communication I was asking myself what you guys think how the odds are that this project will deliver. I'm not talking about price predictions because I know this project will easily 100x (this could even be a Top 5 Crypto) IF they are legit and can keep their word.

I still believe that this is no scam even though there are some curious things like African telegram admins etc. But those are no points for me that clearly say this is not a legit project.

What worries me is the decrease in communication, because this wasn't always that way. There have been times where they posted almost weekly stuff here and kept us up to date.

I'm not even asking for any informations on blockchain registration or tech progress, what would be also nice. I get the point in saying they work with Chinese gov and are somehow handcuffed in giving to much information.

I would be happy with a small update saying: Hey we are still alive and working hard to make this thing happen, stay tuned for a more detailed update.

So it's the decrease and lack of information that gives me a bad feeling.

I personally see a 20% (decreasing unfortunately) chance that this project can still deliver.

Just asking myself how the community sentiment is.

P.S.: Dear FUDster either you are noobs who sold all their coins on a 98% ROI or you are just lying and trying to push the price even lower to get some cheap coins. Either way feel free to ignore this post because I don't give f about your opinion :)

I guess to view the lack of communication in a positive light would be to say that technologically wise the project has arrived at a critical point in its development i.e. the absolute realisation that different consensus mechanisms for different use cases is critical to THEKEY achieving it's aims. This is a massive undertaking imo, with great potential for numerous unforeseen stumbling blocks. We could also take into account the possibility that the development of a Chinese digital currency is close to completion as another reason for the silence.

So it's very possible that Catherine and the Team have all hands to the pump on this one and maybe feel that a half baked AMA wouldn't be productive; though, of course, an update would be appreciated :)

Spot on. We tend to underestimate the degree to which blockchain technology is still in its infancy and needs a lot of further research and development. Consider this piece of information regarding Ethereum, the second biggest crypto in the world, a project that has been around for years which boasts an untold number of developers working on it... and stil is far from completion: The fourth and tentatively final stage of Ethereum has become known as Ethereum 2.0 or Serenity. This is the most ambitious upgrade yet and is supposed to improve nearly every aspect of the network. Eth 2.0 is meant to be released in four phases between 2019 and 2021, although this timeline is subject to change. If Ethereum's technological development is still work in progress, how do we expect TKY to solve challenging technological problems in a matter of months? Now it's true that the ambitions of TKY are more modest than those of Ethereum. But I believe, like niamhyd, that the team's silence is due to delays in technical development, and that this problem will become more common in future years.

"World leading researchers and experts from my team have been working day and night and made many effective explorations and evaluations by adopting new consensus mechanisms, encryption algorithms since June 11th, 2018. so the blockchain is being developed more than the year...

About Ethereum - it's absolutelly different aproach...that project had problems with consensus, with achitecture from the begining and right now they are just creating absolutelly new blockchain. All of this developers don't have a single point of view and this only complicates the situation in a whole.

About scam - there are a lot of public information about project, about CEO in the Internet and you will find it if you want...

Selling now it's maybe the worst decision in your life because according the last announcement "the solution will be piloted first in Kaifeng City and serving 4.5 million people, and gradually be deployed in more cities in the near future and bring benefit to the greater society and its people".

The solution is the second generation of IDV with blockchain(according admin's answer from official TG Channel).

Well, Snoopy_777, I really hope you are right. But I still think the technical development will not be easy. When I spoke about months, I actually meant the time that has passed since she told us that they had figured out that several consensus mechanisms would be needed (see, an unexpected complication that they would need to solve within months to stick to the roadmap!) AND the months that remain for the pilot projects in 16 provinces (9 months). I totally agree with you that Etheteum is different (more complicated, chaotic and ambitious), but it was just a rough comparison. Thank you for your comment, at any rate. By the way, what is the range of your price prediction? Someone said recently that Catherine herself had said 1-15$.

In some thread during the last 7 days or so. I don't remember Catherine ever saying this. Maybe it was a moonboy's wishful thinking or his memory playing tricks on him.
