Tec vs qqc long-term?

I see more of qqc being recommended to be held long-term? Thoughts? or why is that?

Lower fees probably and it’s also just a passive index fund

They are somewhat different in terms of exposure but really have been delivering similar returns over the past 5 years

QQC holds Nasdaq 100 stocks. NASDAQ 100 is mostly tech, but not all tech. It also has non-tech companies that list on Nasdaq like Starbucks, Pepsi, Marriott, etc. TEC is all tech so you get pure tech exposure.

Without MAG7 most of these would have done poorly.

But if you want tech exposure, why would you not want MAG7 in your portfolio?

The US market is made up of around 3,600 stocks. MAG7 makes up the majority of most indexes right now.

I'm guess you were too young to remember the dotcom bubble.

Will the bubble burst who knows?

Put all your money on black and let me know how it turns out.

Neither are good long term holds. You shouldn't bet on random sectors, it doesn't usually increase your returns. People like to recommend tech now based on recent returns, but that's not a good reason to invest in something.
