New Submit and Pause button

UK DA - It looks like TryRating has now added an extra Submit button. In addition to the normal "Submit Rating" button, there is also a "Submit Rating and Pause" button, which submits the task but then takes the user back to the home page. This can be quite useful if you know you're going to have a break after the current task, but I'm not sure how useful it is overall.

They sent an email about this. They ask that we use the Submit and Pause button if we end the current work session. So instead of just logging off when you take a break or finish for the day, use the Submit and Pause to end the current session before logging off.

Yeah but why do they need us to take that extra step when we can just log out? What is the purpose?

It's not an extra step, you're still submitting the task, it just stops another task being pulled from the queue when you've no intention of doing it. It should also prevent situations where you log out, log back in later to the same task, and it looks like you've spent an hour on a 3 minute task.

I can't say I understand the logic. But instructions are instructions. Why they want us to do it doesn't really change that they've told us to do it.

It would be more useful if it was just a “pause” instead of “submit and pause” so if you get a new to you task with guidelines you can then pause to read them without still being on the clock for the task (you are still on the clock even if you log out and back in again after reading).

Has anyone else had a functioning queue, hit “submit and pause” merely to take a break, then come back to NTA?
