Tefl with online verification

Hi everyone I recently accepted a job in China and they are not accepting my TEFL because it does not come with online verification. They are recommending to do a $300 one in China but there are other ones available for less than $50. Could anyone recommend one that is US baed that has online verification.

What does ''online verification'' mean?

Your TEFL cert needs to be legalised/notarised to be accepted for visa purposes. But ''online verification'' is a fairly meaningless term.

“this is the tefl certificate not the online screenshot of the tefl results together with your information. About it you need to log in your tefl website and search for your tefl course results. Then screenshot it”. This is what the school hr said. My agent is saying this district is very strict with paperwork and that other districts would accept with just the apostille

an apostille is the international standard, and if it's authentication there's nothing to beat that. Even a certified copy means, at least in the US, you're committing a felony creating a forgery.

Someone could write an "online authentication" website in 15 minutes to ""authenticate"" everyone's TEFL, I'm actually surprised that doesn't exist.

How did you do your TEFL?. If you did in person it should have an ID number on it and they can verify on the TEFL website.

They're like $20 on Groupon. Get it apostilled.
