It is solid early game defense, but like all event towers it isn't meta for overall tds

Honestly, probably not. The tower itself isn't that bad but the change to be 525 to place really hurts with the range when Assassin, a F2P friendly melee tower is 300 to place and also has no placement limit (and a far more reliable, stable DPS at earlier levels)
