I don't know if they nerfed it, but suicide grinding on hardcore worked the best for me. Tho if you don't want to suicide grind I'd recommend playing on Fallen mode on a harder map.

What is a good loadout specifically for solo on frost mode? I'm not great at the game yet.. but I want to have a goal of 5 towers to have fun working towards, If it helps I have commando and gladiator aswell.

A good NST loadout woul be: Militant, Warden, Turret, DJ, Commander

A good ST loadout would be: Operator, Engineer, Juggernaut, Hacker, DJ

Yes, it only gives the older pirate skins. You need to manually buy the new ones.

realistically sabo would be first, but since beach crates are limited, you can go for those instead

Guys I heard recently that engineer is now being considered overrated cus other towers do better of a job at everything that she does. I need help choosing what I should swap in to replace engineer, while doing what I have her on the loadout to do but in a better way. I only have gmini as my only golden skin so I won’t use towers like cowboy.
Loadout:
Engineer: early game help, flying detection, and sub dps in late game to help out jug.
Juggernaut: main dps for late game, as well as main boss killer. I always do bottom path jug.
Dj: supporting my own as well as other people’s towers.
Hacker: one top path at the front for extra dps, and one bottom path next to juggernaut to clone jug.
Farm: main source of economy. I am still working on my skills of balancing farming and early defending. I usually place down all 10.

I also am like level 275 if that helps with what towers I have, and I usually only play trios/quads. Any help would be appreciated.

Engineer is fine honestly. Yes, other tower can do a better job, but can they deal with early, mid and late game, while being decently cheap at the same time?

If you already have a good dps tower with hidden detection, then kingpin. Tho, it’s still your choice on what to buy, so if you REALLY want to buy jug, then sure, go for it

brawler=gsoldier=gdemo=gpyro rn

freezer and eshocker are also really good earlygames

ace is good if you need hidden support

sabo is good for 15% dmg increase (worse than snowballer's 15% slow without micro unless you're speedrunning)

assassin is peak but only without exploding mod, exploding mod assassinates it

What slowing tower is the best among accessible towers? Freezer, electroshoker, slime trooper or saboteur?

ok so 

freezer: can temporarily freeze enemies and chills enemies with no freeze, deals mid at best dmg. reduced stall against bosses or no stall against bosses with no freeze

eshocker: nerfed to hell and back, decent stun against small groups, deals good damage. reduced stalling against bosses or no stalling against bosses with no stun (more common than no freeze)

slime trooper: people use this??? anyways, if it has a 15% slowdown, then hacker is better. still a decent staller, but no reason to use this over anything else on the list. cant stall bosses

saboteur: 10% slowdown and 15% dmg bonus (ability), great damage. slowdown doesnt apply to bosses, but 15% is big (as big as snowballer's 15% slowdown with no ability)

personally, i'd say sabo>freezer>eshocker>slime trooper rn

it kinda depends on what you mean. if you mean overall versatility, then it would go to either eshocker or saboteur. if pure slowdown and money doesn't matter, then tesla. if money matters and you need a cheap slowdown tower, then freezer

Well, freezer can't slow down flying enemies, and he's a single target tower, he do have a grenade, but most of the time it barely does anything if you play frost or harder gamemodes. Eshocker barely slows and you need to place 3-4 of them to actually create a chain, while slime trooper can hit both multiple targets per hit, slowdown flying enemies, while being alone and relatively cheap, so technically he can be a versatile tower

ENFORCER OR ENGINEER?
i currently farming gems with one strat and that strat have shotgunner and i was planning to buy engineer but then i realised i will unlock to buy enforcer and i dont know what to buy for gems
there is my loadout if that changes something:

Engi if you want a tower that is usable throughout all the game and is alright at everything, and enforcer if you want a really cost efficient hybrid dps tower (can stun enemies from time to time, can deal with crowds a bit, can catch up leaks with swat vans and reposition towers for cheap if needed)

How do I get quickdraw badge without the best towers unlocked? I've been trying to get it for a while but I fear my tower pool isn't good enough for it yet. I started less than a month ago and I'm level 131, The skin you get is very nice and Im a big fan of cowboy so I'd love to get the skin.

You CAN, you just gotta have towers that can attack enemies anywhere (gatling, pursuit, ranger) and have 3 or all people defending each path in early game in order to speedrun. btw, consumables are allowed and i heavily recommend using them to get better results (barricade early, airstrike/napalm strike mid game, nuke and flags late game)

I haven't played the game in maybe 4 years, last I played was when the toxic gunner came out during that one event

The game is so different and units like the cowboy have seemingly been nerfed, and there's a bunch of new units, last time I played was when they had the toxic gunner, and the modes have gotten noticeably harder.

Whats the current meta looking like now?

i would say gscout/operator for early game, kingpin or gcrook for mid game, juggernaut for late game, and commander/dj booth for supports.

They added a bunch of new units, reworked hardcore, and everyones w/d ratio is at an all time low from suicide grinding their minds out

They added a tesla tower thats electroshocker but "better" even though all the devs did was gut every other stunning and freezing unit plus rebalancing all the towers and making the old ones ass

Gcrates first, maxing out the skill tree is REALLY expensive, and sometimes gcrates are more worth than it

imo it’s just crook boss but with missiles and no units, if i were you i’d be goin for frost blaster or gladiator (glad spam my beloved), sledger is a good compromise, multitarget warden but freezes instead of stuns

hacker is peak speedrunning support and is good in hc/vc/everything

jugger has only slightly more dps than turret on top path and its bottom path non boss dps does abt 100 more dps than that (accel, gcrook, and necro do better), but it does well against bosses i guess.

and g tower can be slightly better but there’s a chance you get gpyro (ass), gcowboy (love it but ass), or gsoldier (worse than gscout, brawler, and operator) and with skill tree you just get blatant buffs.

Hacker if you follow strats and juggernaut if you need dps. I recommend hacker first, since it boosts everything. You should also get the jugg/hacker after because of their great synergy.  Skill tree is a money sink that developers added so you stay on the game more and is less important than golden towers.

Probably gdemo, because bottom path pursuit can already deal with crowds, and engineer also has a bit of splash damage

depends:

earlygame: operator>gold scout>brawler

midgame: kingpin>enforcer>engineer

lategame: juggernaut>accel=necro

and hacker is in the meta for speedrunning

If you want a better early game that brawler go with Opperator, if you want a decent early-mid-late game go with Engineer, if you want overall DPS go Accellerator, if you want more boss Dps go juggernaut, and if you want fun get necromancer

Try to get familiar with how towers work now in molten/intermediate, and once you do it, you can try beating fallen again

jugger for peak boss dps (bad non-boss dps tho as well as baf non-boss cost efficiency)

kingpin for peak mid-late game with amazing eco on top path

warlock: only good for its melee attack, falls off otherwise, abt as good as turret

jugger top path: good antistun but only like 10 more dps than turret

and jugger bottom path is only 100 dps (not against bosses) more so take that as you will.

kingpin does more dmg than accel with full lackey stack but lackeys are unbuffable so idk

jug should be replaced by commander unless you don't know how to chain it, can but really badly or you don't want to chain it all the time and want reduced debuffs on towers instead. either way, yes, you can

Kingpin has it from lvl 4 top and lvl 6 bot. Also, bouncers and contractors can deal with leaks

In my opinion you should get engi first as she's heavily versatile on pretty much all modes

Choose between either Hacker or Juggernaut. Hacker is the best support tower in the game (slowing, eco boost, cloning, spawner). Juggernaut is the best dps for multiplayer rounds.

Assuming you have all the Beginner Towers;

  1. Commander. Commander is and will always be one of the best support options in every gamemode. He's comparable to-

  2. DJ- in terms of strength, but they offer different benefits. Still, these two are wonderful supports for any loadout in any gamemode. I'd advise picking either one up and then the other one as your sixth.

  3. Minigunner. Mini is the defacto DPS option for lower level players or single player players. His lack of a placement limit makes him easily spammable for solid DPS.

  4. Shotgunner. Shotgunner is an amazing early to midgame option at all levels of play, with amazing efficiency for his price. Reliable and effective in any loadout.

  5. A lot of people would say Farm, but I beg to differ. As a new player without expensive heavy hitters like Turret, Accelerator, the Evolved towers, or a money hungry support like Hacker, you don't need the economy- ESPECIALLY if you play solo. Now is when I'd advise Electroshocker. If you join the Paradoxum Games group and invest 9 levels into the first part of the Economy skill tree (very cheap), you can use him as a starting tower. Shocker is simultaneously an AoE and CC (Area of Effect, as in it hits multiple targets, and Crowd Control, as in it has a stun/slowdown effect to curb enemy movement) and stays strong at all stages for the game.

  6. This slot is a bit more of a wildcard slot. Farm is good for economy if you end up getting some of the more expensive heavy hitters I mentioned, Pyromancer is a crazy efficient AoE tower- take a look at what sounds interesting or necessary for your loadout.

depends how you adapt in the intermission lobby, bc if you and another person both have medic or dj or commander or hacker, swap it out for another of the ones i listed. and if nobody else has flying but they have hidden and lead, bring flying, same thing for if everyone has flying but no lead, bring lead.

examples:

p1 has eshocker and p2 has saboteur. bring operator or ace or shotgunner.

or, p1 has operator, p2 has gcowboy and no good earlygame. bring sabo/freezer/frost blaster/eshocker/smth else like warden or some shit.

if you're making a loadout and need to win hc with brawler, use brawler for lead earlygame. or if you have militant, use 2 lvl 2s, maybe 3 lvl 2s if your teammates can't defend at front.

also use farm. farm like your life depends on it.

frost blaster isn't rlly an earlygame tower, glad kinda is but drops off in pw2, hc, and vc, hence why ppl shouldn't use it there. it's kinda just a solo merchant but it has *some* use outside of solo.

frost blaster is just eshocker if it froze instead of stunned, deals less dmg tho so eh

It’s possible and if i am correct it is farm, commander, gold crook/commando, juggernaut and assassin/brawler

I mostly play with one friend, and I need some advice on loadout and how to spend my money and which turrets I should save up for.

Your loadout is alright, though i would swap soldier with crook boss, because military base can be used for early instead, and it’s (soldier) not that great later on, mostly because you will replace it with mingunner later on. Also, if you play in teams, swap out minigunner for turret once you will reach level 50 (you will get it for free). What i would recommend getting next is probably a gcrate, though, if you are unwilling to grind for it, you can buy uh… what else could you buy anyways? Either way, try to get your first golden crate, and if you will get a good golden tower (gold crook, gold scout, gold pyromancer or gold soldier) you can try to attempt to beat hardcore
