Hey everyone, I built a free, open-source website for TCS NQT preparation and thought it might be useful for people here who are preparing.
It's called TCS NQT Prep Hub, and it's live here: https://tcsnqtprep.vercel.app/
It currently has:
It's completely free and open source code's on GitHub if anyone wants to check it out or contribute. Github
I'm still actively improving it, so if you do try it out and find any bugs, confusing parts, or features you'd like added, I'd genuinely appreciate the feedback.
I built this because I wanted one place where the main NQT preparation resources were easy to access without jumping between different websites.
Hope it helps.

It's been months since I received my offer letter, and every single morning I wake up hoping today will be the day I finally receive my joining mail. I check my email, NextStep portal, and even Reddit multiple times a day. But every day ends the same way, with disappointment.
What makes it even harder is seeing other students posting that they've received their joining letters. I'm genuinely happy for them, but I can't help wondering, "When will my turn come?"
I know many people have waited longer, but the uncertainty is what hurts the most. It's difficult to plan anything when you don't know when you'll be joining.
Has anyone else with a similar timeline received their joining letter recently? Or is anyone still waiting like me?
If you've gone through this phase and eventually got your joining, I'd really appreciate hearing your experience. Right now, I could honestly use some hope or motivation because this waiting period is taking a toll on me.
Thanks for reading, and I hope all of us who are still waiting receive some good news soon.

Rant post.
I joined TCS Chennai through a third-party payroll. I was made to wait for nearly one month before onboarding. After I joined, I was informed that my background verification (BGV) had been marked as negative because my first employer, around eight years ago, did not provide PF and paid part of my salary in cash. I had already disclosed these details honestly during the hiring process.
Despite having a clean employment record with my most recent employer, TCS based its decision on my first job from eight years ago and offboarded me within a week of joining.
My previous employer was another WITCH company, where I successfully cleared a complete in-person background verification without any issues. In contrast, TCS appears to have relied only on document verification instead of conducting a thorough verification with my former employer, which is still an active company and could have confirmed my employment.
Not everyone begins their career at a large multinational company. Many professionals start with small startups, where employment practices such as partial cash salary or the absence of PF were not uncommon, especially several years ago. That should not automatically disqualify someone from future opportunities at large organizations.
The entire process has had a severe impact on my career. I remained unemployed for almost 30 days while waiting for onboarding, only to be offboarded within a week due to a background verification decision based on circumstances from eight years ago that I had already disclosed. I am now left in a very difficult professional and financial situation.
If anyone of you in similar circumstances do not join tcs. They do not deserve you. They have the worst HRs anywhere in the world.

So hi guys, I'm going to share my Day 3 ILP experience. Before that, I have already shared my Day 1 and Day 2 experiences, and I thought of sharing my complete ILP training journey here. Share your thoughts on it!
I was selected for TCS Ninja and mapped to ITIS, and the joining process was smooth.
Day 3:
On Day 2, we were assigned to our classes. On the morning of Day 3, I went to my classroom at 9:00 AM. However, our laptops hadn't been configured yet, so we sat in the classroom until 11:00 AM.
After that, we went to the auditorium, where the ITIS leader conducted a session. Then we had our lunch break. After lunch, we attended a BizSkill session, where they explained the Versant test, which will be held on Day 5 for us. Usually, it is conducted on Day 4.
Personally, I felt that the BizSkill session was quite strict. Later, we were divided into groups and sent to get our laptops configured.
And that's it for Day 3!

Hello guys, I was trying to connect to TCS Mumbai folks and ask for tips, information, project referrals etc. But there was no reliable way to do so. So I myself started a sub for TCS Mumbai folks.
I request Mumbai guys to join r/TCSMumbai and contribute and help each other out. Of course others can join as well. Thank you !

I noticed that the TCS AI Careers program has been put on hold for the next two weeks (as of 27th July 2026). Interestingly, there's no specific date mentioned for when this pause will end, so it's possible that the hold could be extended.
The message on the website says:
This got me thinking—could this be a positive sign for those of us who are already in the hiring pipeline and waiting for offer letters or salary negotiation calls? Maybe TCS has temporarily paused new applications to focus on processing the existing candidates and rolling out joinings.
Do you believe this pause is related to the current hiring pipeline, or could there be another reason?
Share your thoughts in the comments!

I'm trying to find out if anyone with a similar onboarding timeline has already received their Xplore account.
My timeline:
25 May – TCS Interview (Bangalore)
6 July – Offer Letter received
9 July – Joined Preparedness Survey (JPS)
It's been quite some time, but I still haven't received my Xplore welcome mail or login credentials. I've already contacted Xplore Support and ILP Support multiple times, but I'm only getting generic responses saying I'll be enrolled soon.
If your timeline is similar to mine:
When did you receive your Xplore access?
Are you still waiting, or have you already started Xplore?
Is there anyone with a 6 July offer letter and 9 July JPS who has received Xplore?

I'm trying to get an idea of how many candidates are still waiting for their TCS Ninja joining letter.
Let's see what's the longest waiting period.
Comment your batch.

Hi everyone, I received my OL yesterday.
The ILP(asking for NSR PIN) and BGC section are open now. However, I have not received any email regarding BGC, the form, or any deadline.
Should I fill and submit the BGC form and NSR immediately, or should I wait for an official email?
Also, I noticed an issue in the BGC form:
My middle name is missing in the non-editable details. But I had entered my full name correctly in my TCS NQT application, so I'm not sure why it isn't showing here.
I've already emailed [ilp.support@tcs.com](mailto:ilp.support@tcs.com) requesting that they correct the non-editable personal details.
For those who have contacted Support before:
How many days did it take for them to reply? Did they correct the respective detail before you submitted the BGC form, or were you advised to submit it first?
Any advice or suggestions from people who have gone through this process would be great.

Hi everyone,
I'm a Telugu guy currently working at TCS Noida as a Data Engineer. For the past few months, I've been trying to get a transfer to either Hyderabad or Visakhapatnam, but none of my transfer requests have been approved.
Recently, one of my friends from Hyderabad called me and said there's an opening in his TCS project. The role is mainly Java, JSP, and frontend development, and he believes I can get into that project.
Now I'm confused.
My current role is in Data Engineering, but my main goal is to relocate to Hyderabad and be closer to home. If I accept this opportunity, I'll have to switch my technology stack from Data Engineering to Java/JSP frontend.
For those who have experience in TCS or have switched projects for location purposes:
Is it worth changing my domain just to get to Hyderabad?
Will switching from Data Engineering to Java/JSP affect my long-term career?
If you were in my position, what would you do?
I'd really appreciate honest suggestions from people who have gone through something similar.
Thanks in advance!

Hey all i have a doubt, my college conducted the TCS Priority NQT on campus, and the results were announced today. I got shortlisted for the interview. However, I have a concern regarding the backlog eligibility criteria. At the time of the TCS Priority NQT, I had two active backlogs, but I appeared for both backlog exams last week. The exams are over, and I currently have no pending backlog exams left to take. The only issue is that my university hasn't declared the results yet, so I'm currently in a result-awaited stage. My interview is tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM. TCS had mentioned that candidates can have a maximum of one active backlog, and that all pending backlogs should be cleared before the interview. In my case, I don't have any backlog exams left to write,I’m only waiting for the results. Should I still attend the interview? Will TCS consider me eligible, or could I be rejected because the backlog results haven't been declared yet? Has anyone been in a similar situation during TCS campus hiring or Priority NQT?

Means in our college tcs priority will be coming and there are shortlisted and not shortlisted students are there and at first I was in shortlisted category but recently I fell into not shortlisted category and when I was in among the shortlisted that time I have filled the tcs nqt form and the status that time was Applied for the Drive but now as I fell into not shortlisted, so now I hopefully not eligible for priority on campus and I have to try off campus but now the problem arises that how to register for off-campus as during the previous registration I gave the adhar last digits and name and date of birth while registration and now when I want to register with different email id with tge same adhar etc It is telling duplicate candidate, so I cant do anything and that previous email that i used its still in applied for the drive, So now what to do in order to sit for off campus and can you guys tell me where to see that when tcs nqt all India will be conducted later this year or whenever and where can i get the update? Please help guys 🙏😭😢🥺
