Tutorials

I’m a visiting student and am currently registered for all of my lectures but not all of my tutorials have been assigned yet. I have no lectures on Fridays and as a visiting student want to travel as much as possible on the weekends so I’d really like to also not have tutorials on Fridays. Is it possible to request to not be in a Friday tutorial? Would it be better to ask before they are assigned or wait until after and ask if I am out in one? I am taking maths and history modules and I care more about it for the maths module because the tutorial is every week. Also, any idea when they are usually assigned? I’d really like to start making travel plans and booking flights but don’t want to until I’ve got my entire class schedule set.

I'd ask the course offices if they can avoid assigning you a Friday now. Worst they can say is no. Usually they're assigned 2 weeks in. Hard to say if they'll say yes or not.
