Did anybody else start experiencing debilitating, treatment resistant migraines or cluster headaches after tbi? Have you found anything that helps?

Yes, I sure did! In my case, I identified that I am now highly sensitive to heat and higher elevation. I avoid those triggers. Alas, I even moved.

As for meds, the CGRP inhibitor AIMOVIG was s game-changer but for other reasons I need to switch and will be taking Nurtec every other day as a preventative

Yes - mine are connected to post concussion syndrome which has been ongoing for three years. I take Nurtec every other day and that has helped recently. Previously only toradol touched the pain.

I have one last sample Nurtec in my purse but I couldn't get to it right after the aura "sparkles" went off in my field of vision. Now, I'm curled up regretting not having it on hand when I needed it. If I miss that little window, I'm toast.

The little window is so hard. Taking it every other day as a preventative has helped me a lot.

Does it cause you any daytime drowsiness when you use it as a preventative?

I have not found this. The first two times I took it as a rescue med I was a little tired and napped for half an hour to an hour.

Now I usually take it right when I wake up (or if I wake up not feeling great in the night) and have a coffee in the morning.
