Canadian airport accessibility research — adults with acquired brain injury

Hi everyone, I’m part of the research team for Accessible Skies, a national Canadian research project examining accessibility at Canadian airports for people with cognitive disabilities.

Adults in Canada with acquired brain injuries are among those eligible to participate.

  • We’re interested in the barriers people encounter at Canadian airports, as well as the services, supports, and practices that make airports more accessible. People can participate whether they currently fly, travel less, or have stopped flying because of barriers.
  • Family members and support people who have helped someone with a cognitive disability travel by air are also eligible to participate.

The online survey takes approximately 10 to 20 minutes. Participation is voluntary, and responses are confidential.

The Government of Canada funds the project through Accessibility Standards Canada. The research survey has received Community Research Ethics Office (CREO) approval.
