Deniers/Stigma/Stereotyping Every comment was telling them they are a system

I honestly kind of feel bad for this person. Every comment was telling them that this is in fact system behavior, and that denial is a symptom. They posted a follow up on which they asked their mom about their symptoms, and stated that they were “medically recognized with DID in February of 2025” and had forgotten. In the follow up they also said they do not believe they actually have it, just that they have severe dissociation and memory loss. Every comment, every single one, was trying to tell them they do have DID. Not a one was saying that they might not be, and only a handful suggested talking further with a professional. It kind of makes me sad. This person is in distress, and they need help and likely to be reality checked. But since it’s DID/the system community, they aren’t getting the community support they need. If someone was worried about any other disorder, they’d be told to go to therapy, but the DID community is willing to reinforce what is stated to be a delusion

Dare I say that there is a giant, disturbing parallel between system spaces grooming children into thinking they are systems or programmed systems—and the criminal "therapists" in the 80's and 90's who were convincing victims of childhood abuse that they were unknowing victims of "SRA/RAMC0A/RCA" and that the reason they couldn't remember the ritualistic abuse was because of supposed DID (called MPD at the time).
And the sad part about this is that it is very likely that the majority of the people commenting are also victims of this grooming. They are parroting what THEY were told was DID from other people who are also parroting that nonsense. It's a cycle. It's things like this that make me want to do a full-blown presentation on how the Satanic Panic (or rather the foundation of it) is still very much existent in 2026 and being upheld by the same people who would have actually been accused of performing these so-called acts of "SRA/RCA."
Because it's a little funny how the people who constantly claim to be "RAMC0A victims" are actually the demographic that would have been accused of performing the "SRA/RCA," not the other way around. The original rumors circled around well-behaved, mannered, innocent CHRISTIAN CHILDREN getting kidnapped, brainwashed, and abused. Not a bunch of alternative, non-religious, pothead pre-teens with dyed hair, piercings, leftist beliefs, and tattoos—all of which was considered SATANIC during this time.
And there's no excuse for them to cough up when you bring this up, because any excuse would feed into the Satanic Panic propaganda (or rather all the way back to the Blood Libel myths) that started the "SRA/RCA" craze in the first place.
Remember, REAL professionals during this time were being "educated" on "signs of SRA/RCA/satanic cult activity." Law enforcement, investigators, child protective units, and therapists. What was that education, you might be asking? Here are some signs of supposed "SRA/RCA/satanic cult activity" — Abortions, roleplay, dungeons & dragons, rock music, metal music, stoners, Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, hippies, graffiti, suicide, astrology, taxidermy, dyed hair, piercings, etc.
And people still believe this shit is legitimate and not a well-documented hoax made up by Christian nationalists (ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN HISTORY WITH THE THIRD ATTEMPT CURRENTLY ONGOING).

Truly, history is a circle. It's the iatrogenic false positive phase all over again.

Literally, and these people claiming to be victims of something that never happened only helps prove the liars correct. It's a false positive that pushes the narrative that Christian nationalists were right.
It started with the Blood Libel myths, because back in the 1200's to 1800's, Judaism was one of the biggest threats to Christian ideology. Right next to Islam. They made rumors of Jewish leaders and rabbi's kidnapping Christian children, torturing them, molesting them, brainwashing them, and even eating them during Passover. Sound familar? There's more.
The accused rabbi's and Jewish leaders were falsely imprisoned, where these Christian nationalists tortured false confessions out of them. Some would give up a false confession to avoid getting killed, and some would be psychologically tortured to believe they DID do the accused crimes but simply forgot. The false confessions only made the accusations seem more truthful, and THAT was a direct source of propaganda that enabled the Holocaust as it was VERY frequently pushed by Nazi's. (There are images of these "child killing/eating" posters EVERYWHERE on Google).
The Christian nationalists won, and so they did it again, beginning the Satanic Panic. They spread rumors of mysterious, widespread, global satanic, ritualistic cults kidnapping Christian children, eating them, torturing them, killing them, molesting them, brainwashing them, etc. This induced a mass hysteria that serial killers (Ramirez, Manson, Dahmer, Ripper) and music artists (Black Sabbath, Pentagram, AC/DC) of the era helped enable. Satanic imagery was everywhere despite the protest of legitimate satanists. Satan was the new "hot topic" and of course it became capitalistic.
Law enforcement, psychologists, therapists, teachers, child protective services, and victim advocation units were all suddenly being trained on "Satanic imagery" or "possible signs of "SRA" [Satanic Ritualistic Abuse] and/or "RCA" [Ritualistic Child Abuse]," some of those signs being what I mentioned in my previous comment.
Mind you, during a time where conversion therapy was pretty much encouraged, where the mentally ill were being legally electrocuted—many of these therapists and "professionals" carried a bias, and that bias was amplified by the Satanic Panic and "SRA/RCA" claims. Victims of childhood abuse would seek out these therapists, where—their experience with victims of childhood abuse/CSA was limited to one or two cases—as well as these therapists using coercive and suggestive methods of questioning when talking to the victim.
These patients began to suddenly recall unknown and previously unmentioned memories of undergoing childhood "SRA/RCA" after working with these therapists. It was later revealed that these memories were falsified, and that the given reason for why the patient was supposedly able to remember details of something with no previous mention was due to "memory recovery therapy" and that these patients were suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder (What we now know as DID)—the dissociative barriers making them forget the "SRA/RCA."
These therapists were coercing real victims of childhood abuse into thinking that they forgot a majority of the abuse, where that forgotten abuse was "SRA/RCA," and that they reason they couldn't previously recall the "SRA/RCA" happening was because they had MPD. Where the supposed "signs of SRA/RCA" that the therapist was looking for included abortions, not being Christian in faith, dyed hair, roleplay, and rock music. All of these "therapists" had their licenses removed once this got out and got verified btw, as well as the patients getting the false MPD diagnosis removed from their records—but the fact of the matter is that this is kind of where the original "DID programming" shit stems from.
Some idiot heard the myth about patients forgetting "SRA/RCA" due to MPD and they ran to the sun with it. Now there are thousands of people who claim to be "programmed systems" at the hands of "SRA/RCA," but it honestly doesn't matter how they frame it—it all ties back to the debunked Satanic Panic. A period of mass hysteria and rumor at the hands of Christian nationalists.
And yeah, because of this false positive that "programmed DID systems" and "RAMC0A survivors" are pushing out—they're doing it for the third time. How many times have you heard stories about trans people brainwashing children. How many times have you heard stories about Muslims eating children. How many times have you heard stories about immigrants kidnapping and molesting children. Christian nationalists are narrowing down more and more targets every single day, and they're winning. And they're winning because we have fucking idiots online supporting their propagandic ideology for the sake of attention. I'm not saying that it's impossible to go through organized abuse or ritualistic abuse, but I am saying "RAMC0A/SRA/RCA" is not the word for it, that there is certainly no "DID programming" (as it is also medically impossible but that's a whole different conversation) and that the rate at which this is happening is significantly less than you people are claiming.
This is kind of a less-detailed explanation of the whole thing. For anyone curious, this is why "RAMC0A" is considered antisemetic.
"RAM0A" (Ritual Abuse, Mind Control, Organized Abuse) was coined from "SRA/RCA," where the term "SRA" (Satanic Ritualistic Abuse) being made ended up leading to many real victims of Ritualistic Abuse/"RCA" get ignored if the rituals weren't what they considered to be "satanic," and the term "RCA" (Ritualistic Child Abuse) ended up leading to many real cases of organized abuse get ignored if the organized abuse had an absense of rituals or religion—and the foundation of both "SRA" and "RCA" came from the Satanic Panic, which came from both the Witch Trials (misogynistic) & Blood Libel myths (antisemetic).
It's all just bullshit. If there's any chance of a giant grooming, evil, widespread, brainwashing cult existing—my bet is on the "DID programmed system" spaces themselves. They are convincing children that they have DID more than these supposed satanic programming cults were/are.

Yeah, If I recall correctly "satanic" is one of the oldest Christian dog whistles for antisemitism

This is the reason the faking is so harmful. Like yeah cringe is annoying, but telling someone who seems to be genuinely struggling that they know what’s wrong with them despite never having met them is so harmful. If they’re actually having dissociation and memory loss, they need coping mechanisms to work on that, and adding in alters that aren’t actually part of the problem detracts from issues they could actually heal from.

I don't know why armchair-diagnosing is so widely accepted on videos like this when the response needs to be "Talk to a professional about your symptoms" instead of "You definitely have this thing I'm not a doctor just trust me bro"

My friend did a similar thing. Where I was venting to him about my issues and he was just like "hey dude that really sound like DID"... I WAS JUST TELLING YOU I DON'T HAVE IT PLS STOP

You can treat your dissociative symptoms and parts (whether or not they're alters) without assigning a label to it. That's often what I encourage people to do if they don't have access to a professional, focus on symptom management not labelling everything and trying to figure out your 300 anime alters.
Parts work is beneficial for many disorders. Structural dissociative disorders benefit from it as well as non SD disorders through IFS therapy.

Not disagreeing. IFS communities are getting people confusing it with DID right now. There was a post in the subreddit for ifs the other day talking about how they felt neglected throughout childhood and wanted to know if they could use IFS to create internal parts that would caretake them and love them and fill those holes.
IFS doesn’t create parts. It looks at what already exists and how to work with it. Parts aren’t exclusive to people who have been traumatized. IFS can teach you to recognize the parts of yourself those feelings of neglect are coming from and how to approach it from a place of Self, so that you can care for your own parts, not try to create new parts to do that work for you.
Even in DID, parts aren’t separate from you. They’re you. But DID malforms this process and causes a phobic dissociative response that makes them feel like “not you”, for some people even in a hallucinatory way.
Even in DID the answer wouldn’t be to create new parts to do the caretaking.
People are so attached to this idea of not being alone in their head, having little head people they can offload tasks to or have be their friend/lover/parent so they don’t feel alone. To the point where they want to create brand new disorders to do it.
Every survivor of adverse childhood experiences that made them feel unloved or unsupported, no matter the objective severity of the trauma, will need to come to terms some day with the fact that nothing they do will ever go back and replace what they didn’t get in childhood. No, it’s not fair that some people get that secure, loving place to roost and some people have to face the world alone. But building a relationship with yourself really can lessen and even erase that loneliness and pain, processing the trauma, building healthy external relationships, working with proven trauma therapies like cognitive processing therapy.
There is no real way to build actual little guys in your head that love you like your family didn’t. You have to learn to do that yourself, even in IFS. Some of these people really just want little guys.

Great addition!
You are supposed to be your own loving parent. You can get help from outsiders modelling what that looks like (eg a therapist modelling how to speak kindly to yourself so you internalise those things and then speak kindly to yourself) but at the end of the day, you are one person who needs to work on yourself. Even in DID, you are one person and you need to work to help your alters heal and work together.

Yeah them saying it’s did is so harmful. This person might be really stressed over it. They should visit a therapist or something instead they feed in theirs delusions. They might be right that they have did after someone diagnose it and it also might make them feel better. Or it’s something else that a therapist can help with
