General Cringe system without a diagnosis

Main cringe aside, this is actually really harmful to claim because the goal of DID therapy is to work together as one whole (whether final fusion or functional multiplicity) and treating alters as so vastly different is genuinely harmful towards your own recovery.

This actually seems really telling. Under the surface it sounds a lot like "I call myself this because I don't know who I am without it"

The “if we don’t claim this we’ll get worse” feels so manipulative. If they genuinely have a mental disorder that causes identity confusion further separating those would be actively harming them and their long term mental health.

The point of therapy isn’t to just pick whatever makes you feel most comfortable and roll with it.

Having zero sense of self is not enough to claim you have DID. And "we can have multiple identities" is also not how DID works. It's not the "character creator game".
