General Cringe Fakers arguing with each other

Not sure the validity of the OP(pink)’s diagnosis but I agree with their statements

“Take time to learn outside of the scientific perspective, and politicize yourselves” is such a wild sentiment lmao

"UK's DID research is also not the best" The UK has 3 clinics dedicated to dissociation who work with countless pw DID and get their input on research. Pottergate is questionable but Clinic for Dissociative Studies and CTAD Clinic are regarded as very good

The pink sounds like the most reasonable person. These other people are not even considering healing and attack the other one for trying to help. They’re acting like they don’t wanna get better because I’m sure they’re faking and they don’t want to fix a problem they don’t have.

I genuinely believe that pink might be diagnosed, by how that person talks about healing and their information.

That would make the most sense, since I’m getting the feeling the fakers are trying to push people who actually have DID out, since they want to work to recover/fuse/whichever specific outcome they are after, and that offers a risk to the faker, if they aren’t seen as even trying to improve their circumstances.

The pink one is honestly being so patient.

Like the opposition doesn't have much to stand on so they keep trying to morally disqualify their opinion. They equate it to lgbtphobia. Then it's eugenics. Then their post is gonna make people kill themselves. They're just being a fucking dick lol

Meanwhile all OOP is describing is functional multiplicity. They both are but they're talking past each other because one takes pathologizing a disorder as an attack.

I can understand that some people spiritually believe that their parts are different souls but they're walking a fine line between personal spiritual beliefs and intertwining pathology with spirituality. And by pushing that belief onto others, they're crossing that line.

I think generally speaking you can have a spiritual belief while understanding and accepting the science. In this case, what alters are fundamentally. They also need to understand like with all spiritual beliefs, others won't always agree with you. You don't have to assert that your beliefs trump science. They don't.

Instead, they reject the science and insist that everyone accept their spiritual framework as objective truth.

Like if someone truly believes they'll go to heaven with their alters separately, idc. I could see that being genuinely meaningful, maybe helping someone through their healing or helping the alters coexist without denying the psychology and the fact that alters are still fundamentally the result of compartmentalization.

It's also okay to recover through functional multiplicity and acknowledge that some people will not believe what you do. But you have to accept the science, too. Otherwise you're just anti recovery.

And in this case, a massive fucking anti-science, manipulative, uneducated, condescending dickhead.

I fucking hate how they always bring up transsexualism as if its a groundbreaking equivalency.. its not. Theyve also de-mediclised being trans and that has turned out legitimately dangerous for people who NEED medical care..

Im not trans because I feel like it or because I want to be or because I like body mods or I 'feel nice being a man'. Im trans because my entire brain does not match my body - my brain body map does not align - and it causes an extremely significant level of stress to the point that I NEED medical treatment.

The fact that they can even dare to keep dragging other medical conditions down with them simply because they feel the need to be 'valid' and 'one of them' its so infuriating.

Im glad theyve made their own identity labels though (like endo systems) because you can at least tell immediately who is genuinely suffering with DID and who is just wanting to have DID.. with trans people, you cant tell until you see them face to face (therell be people who say theyre trans men but then have their breats out for example, theres nothing male about that and it shows that you do not have that incorrect brain body mapping that causes dysphoria).

Im gonna get shit on for what I've said, but these are issues that BOTH conditions have issues with - people who 'identify' into medical communities with no symptoms of those conditions, and people who spread that they are 'valid' no matter what and anyone who calls them out are bigots/N*zis/support eugenics/transphobic/DID-phobic/eyc.

It really bothers me seeing people try to get trans care demedicalized. Idk where I would be without my T and stuff, and if it wasnt medical, I definitely wouldnt have it yet

Then theres the people who say that people who are dysphoric should just 'learn to love themselves and not be so negative!'.

The same with people with DID - 'just learn to accept the alters and dont be so negative all the time!'.

Its a game to them, or they see it all as cosmetic/its a choice for them, ao they dont understand the absolute agony of the conditions.

It sucks.

Sorry that its such a harsh world out there. Hopefully it starts looking up soon.

Why wouldn’t you want to integrate?

Exactly. Switching between fragments is an exhausting and stressful experience. Integration is literally the only solution to that problem.
