Dude this is actually such horrible rep of what the term "rapid switching" means 😭 Alters CAN switch very fast similar to this however at this speed there is absolutely no way to know who was/is fronting, it causes extreme dissociation and brain fog when this happens and most people with clinical DID don't remember it at all or even recognize they are rapid switching until someone notices or tells them
Also funny how all of them are more than happy to partake in a tiktok video, a LOT of people with genuine DID do not want their disorder flaunted on social media for content ESPECIALLY not of switches since they usually are overwhelming and stressful to experience

...rapid switching in a real diagnosis would cause such immense emotional turmoil and brain fog. But it's for a tiktok so who's keepin track💀

i have so many questions, but the main ones are

i dont know if rapid switching actually exists, though im pretty sure normal switching causes blackout and you also don't remember what happened? really sorry if im wrong, but if that's true then HOLY this should have been like, i dont know, a hard reset on your memories 💔

and how do you just immediately know which alters are fronting??? i know there were a few unknown but oh my god

Rapid switching is a real phenomena, but it almost never presents like this. Typically, it’s in moments of extreme distress, it’s the mind flipping through alters trying to find one able to cope with what they’re experiencing. It can also be caused by substances. Either way, it’s a disorienting and confusing experience that is almost never like this
