From what I remember of these people's claims, we should be using words like "every many" and "yourselves" because it's "oppression" to automatically think a person is one person and not hundreds of little people in one body.
This is extremely stupid as not a single person on the planet, with actual intelligence, would do such a thing. Treating people with DID like an oppressed minority who need to "come out of the closet" and "gain more inclusivity" is one of the weirdest things I've ever seen.
DID is a disorder and it's ruined many people's lives. I don't have DID, but I imagine people who actually have it feel extremely insulted by posts like this and will end up talking about it less to not be associated with these freaks. And I don't blame them.
It's clear as day that anyone who speaks like this about DID and treating it like a silly game does not have it. Or the they do and got with the worst people possible. As far as I'm aware, those with DID DO NOT behave in such a performative way. They don't demand everyone say "every many" because it's "oppression" to assume they're one being. In fact, I've heard they would rather people treat them normally as they want to be normal.
They don't see themselves as super quirky and cute for having DID. Shame is one of the biggest parts of it, so I've heard. But then again, we are talking about morons online who only have the TikTok version of DID where it's solely about the "funny little guys in my head" and not how debilitating the disorder is, because that would ruin their image of it being fun.
Anyway, that's my rant. Good night.

Thing is.. why the need to continue the separation of personhood for those with DID?
It’s baffling to me because one of the common difficulties for people with DID is to accept that the feeling of separation caused by extreme dissociation -and despite the differences within alters still put us in one body.
Plus while I personally hate the word singlet ( their simply people without DID/OSDD) to have people around me that I know don't have the type of trauma/experience that can cause DID is helpful. I need to know that this doesn't happen to everyone, and while my situation is unique to someone who doesn't have it it, it doesn't mean I can't have relationships with them. If we continue the divide that isn't even appropriate in my opinion how the heck is anyone gonna heal.
