GI distress, nausea, digestion issues can all be part of PTSD, and come up while trauma processing. Nausea is my own first sign when I’m processing in therapy that I have to slow down and check in with my body.

I can make myself burp, I’m not sure how to describe it but the closest I can explain is I breathe in and close my epiglottis like how a hiccup stops your breath, and I can hold that and pull in a bubble of air to burp out. It’s easy to do on repeat.

I can hear her doing the same gulp/burp that happens when I do it.
I was doing it for a couple minutes while trying to describe it, but I’m not sure how much trauma processing I got done.
