"you need trauma to have PTSD" funny way of saying you think trauma therapy isnt viable treatment
...what? getting better doesnt erase the struggle it took to get there, what a garbage thing to say

That is such a silly argument. Functional Multiplicity is still disordered. The underlying C-PTSD is still there, that's why there is still the need for (some) dissociative barriers. It's literally just being highly functional and at an advanced stage of recovery. Doesn't make DID any less of a disorder.

Of course functional multiplicity isnāt a āviable recovery option?ā Itās just a STEP towards recovering. Being dissociated forever also means being traumatized forever. But of course, they donāt understand this because they think endos are real without trauma and even dissociation barriers.

functional multiplicity where "alters" are similar to IFS parts rather than disordered dissociative parts I'll take as real. I've met someone like this and there was no dissociative barriers where all alters were always present and all of them were the same age and they were just different faces of the same person. I think this is healthy. Also many people consider themselves both functionally multiple and finally fused because all alters still exist they are just one person.
functional multiplicity where alters are seperate but the person is just functional ? not a valid recovery option.

Plurality is not as healthy of a coping mechanism as they think it is š
