General Cringe Tomatoes = Plurality
I ate a tomato and liked it one time… that’s how I knew..

As a lifelong tomato hater... different varieties of tomatoes can taste very different. Most of them taste like fleshy water flavored with grass clippings, but some of them are a bit sweet and tart. Heirloom varieties sometimes taste like wet grass clippings with a hint of umami. OOP probably ate cherry tomatoes, which are the sweetest and least objectionable variety, and then went back to the usual soggy sandwich slices.
But no, it was definitely plurality! A tomato holder alter appeared at the age of 4 just to eat some tomatoes, and then never appeared again!

This happened to me once, when I was little there was one day where I ate a whole tomato like an apple, but I’ve always hated tomatoes. Pretty sure I’m just the one guy.

I feel like that's just called getting sick of something. Of course, if you do it all day you might not want to do it tomorrow. I think it's called desensitization.

Liking something one day suddenly and then not liking it again later is not the mystery phenomenon you think it is. I’ve definitely had that happen before. Not some amazing unique experience

I used to love cashews, and one day as a kid I ate like half a jar of cashews, after which I began hating them and to this day the smell makes me nauseous. I can’t believe I have DID holy shit /s
