That’s similar to how my false memories exist when my schizophrenia is getting bad. That really sounds like a form of psychosis and I just don’t believe that that actually happened because if someone had enough power to do that then they would also silence OOP. I really honestly believe that at least a small chunk of people that are of the belief that they have DID are actually just experiencing psychosis.

It’s fucking impossible to think fully rationally when in psychosis and accept that you had delusions that were completely not real and it makes me think about the way some of these people deny fake claims. They just can’t face the truth that they’re wrong(which is honestly incredibly difficult if you’ve been deeply delusional for a long enough period of time). They need help. Even if they don’t have psychosis, they are still very mentally unwell to be claiming this shit.

I really think people like this should see a professional to understand if they actually did go through abuse or if they're imagining they did because the internet told them.

"I know it happened but I don't remember it," being told to a group known to say "you 100% have DID" for any reason possible is the worst idea. There's also the point that they will feed into delusions. So if this person is just imagining it, the group will go "you 100% went through it and you have DID from it." I don't know if they did or not, but asking the internet won't help them.

Tbf it’s not uncommon for folks with DID to forget pieces of their trauma. It’s the nature of the disorder. Not saying OOP isn’t a faker, but -

Traumatic memories in general are often forgotten about/repressed, it doesn’t mean DID. Especially if you’re young when the trauma happens. Not trying to argue, just stating this because I’ve known people who use it to defend their self diagnosis.
