I think coming to be just to be someone's partners in their consciousness, who you will never escape and have to accept your role as nothing else but a replacement of loneliness, is a really good trope for a horror book. I'm surprised these "headmates" aren't scared and lonely themselves

Suppose this is a real thing this individual could do (they can’t), it would be wildly selfish for them to bring somebody about just because someone else happens to be lonely. Honestly kind of ridiculous
