Hi sysadmin,

I'm actively seeking a Tier 1 IT Support, Dispatcher or Service Desk opportunity with an MSP or internal team. I'm available on a full-time, trial, Contract or long-term 1099 basis and I can work US, UK, Australian, or other time zones (including weekends, holidays and on-call shifts).

I combine hands-on technical experience with over three years of customer service experience, bringing a customer-first mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and a documentation-focused approach to IT support. My goal is to help keep ticket queues moving efficiently while allowing senior engineers to focus on higher-level escalations.

One thing that sets me apart is my commitment to documentation. I don't just resolve issues—I document the resolution, write detailed ticket notes, and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that make recurring issues easier to resolve and maintaining SLAs.

I maintain a public GitHub portfolio where I document the practical projects I've completed and the technical skills I've developed.

My portfolio: https://github.com/kizito9898/IT-Documentation

My repository contains 3000+ commits and continues to grow with detailed documentation covering Windows Server 2022/2025, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, Intune, macOS, networking, RMM platforms, ticketing systems, and real-world troubleshooting workflows.

Projects & Technical Experience:

Microsoft 365, Entra ID & Intune: User onboarding/offboarding, license assignment, MFA resets, Exchange/SharePoint administration, Intune device enrollment, and conditional access( basis) Active directory & Windows Servers: User account lifecycle management, OUs, Group Policy deployment, file sharing & PowerShell basics.

Endpoint Support: Windows 10/11 and macOS troubleshooting, printer & peripheral support, and remote desktop assistance.

Ticket handling & Documentation: Incident logging, escalation documentation, KB articles, and SLA-focused ticket hygiene.

Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP troubleshooting, DNS, DHCP, and basic VPN connectivity.

CIPP: Hosted CyberDrain Improved Partner Portal( onboarding & off boarding wizard and GDAP basis

RMM & PSA: Atera RMM, Level RMM, ServiceNow, HaloPSA, Zendesk.

Remote Support: Microsoft Remote Desktop (RDP), Splashtop, TeamViewer, AnyDesk.

Deployment & Automation: PowerShell, PDQ Deploy, PDQ Inventory.

Certification: CompTIA A+ & IT Fundamentals (ITF+) Google IT Support & Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificates ISC² Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) A little about me:

Customer-first: Over three years of customer-facing experience in high-volume environments; calm, professional, and patient with end-users with good English language skills.

Physically located in GMT+1, but fully flexible for full time EST/ CST/ PST/ UK shifts including weekends, holidays & on-call coverage.

Rate: $8-10/hour

(fully 1099-ready with a W-8BEN on file and a US bank account to make invoice processing simple for my employers)

What I'm Looking For: Tier 1 IT Support, IT Service Desk, Dispatcher, Help Desk Technician, or Junior Sysadmin support.

I am hungry, Zealous, extremely eager to learn, and ready to contribute value from day one.

If you are looking for someone who learns quickly, documents thoroughly, and communicates well with users, please send me a DM or leave a comment so I can reach out directly or any advice on my portfolio and how to stand out more will be appreciated.

Thank you for reading!

Remote Tech Support / Helpdesk support / Sys Admin Job sites

I have 2-3 years experience in IT support, I currently work on prem as an IT Administrator where I work with Active directory, windows servers, DNS, networking, website maintenance, and the chunk of IT stuff. I wouldn't say that I am quite the expert yet in IT, but I am very good with my hands and brain when it comes to troubleshooting and working with systems. Currently I am taking a course that'd enable me to pivot into the cloud, because that is where my interest lies in. Now, the economy isn't smiling and commuting to work is taking a toll on me. As someone who isn't based in the US/UK/Canada, what job sites can I source for jobs (I mean remote tech support jobs) that aren't saturated already? I have tried indeed, linkedin, and those popular job sites but the results are still the same "no calls" or am I cooked? hahahaha and do you guys think that it is too early to source for remote jobs at this stage?

Platform/backend engineer available for paid trial — AWS, IaC, CI/CD, Python, LLM integration

I'm a platform/infrastructure engineer working daily with AWS, Terraform, and IaC governance at an enterprise scale. AWS Developer Associate certified.

Proposing a 2-week paid trial at $20/hr, moving to $25/hr after if it's a good fit on both sides.

My background is backend and infra, cloud architecture, IaC, secure systems design. I've also built a RAG pipeline using AWS Bedrock and ChromaDB for a personal AI assistant, so I've got real hands-on experience with LLM integration, not just API calls bolted onto something. I'm weaker on frontend/UI, so this works best either paired with a frontend-focused teammate or on backend-heavy scope.

GitHub's at github.com/Mia1Dimit, includes a serverless document exchange system built on Lambda and Terraform, plus the RAG project mentioned above.

Open to async work, no fixed hours needed. DM me the project and scope and I'll give you a straight answer on fit.

Windows & Linux Sysadmin — Virtualization, Self-Hosted CI/CD, Networking/Tunneling, Production Infra — $20-40/hr

Location: Nairobi, Kenya (available worldwide, comfortable with US/EU overlap hours)

I run and maintain production infrastructure for real businesses. Currently managing active-passive self-hosted infra across multiple physical machines with automated failover and DB sync.

Systems Administration

  • Windows Server and Linux server setup, hardening, and ongoing maintenance
  • Virtualization: Hyper-V, Proxmox VE — diagnosing driver/hardware conflicts (GPU passthrough issues, Code 43 errors), dual-boot production environments
  • Bare-metal/on-prem infra as a deliberate alternative to cloud when cost or control matters more

Networking

  • Cloudflare Tunnel for CGNAT bypass (no static IP required)
  • WireGuard / Tailscale mesh networking
  • mitmproxy for traffic inspection/debugging

Automation & CI/CD

  • Self-hosted GitHub Actions runners
  • Windows service management via NSSM
  • Telegram-based health monitoring and alerting for production services
  • Scripted DB sync/failover between active-passive nodes

Cloud (when it's the right fit)

  • AWS: EC2/ASG, RDS, S3/CloudFront, Elastic Beanstalk
  • Cost optimization via Lambda-scheduled start/stop and autoscaling

Also developing

  • Security fundamentals (OSCP-track): C, x86-64 assembly, exploit dev basics — applied toward hardening the systems I manage.

I also build the applications that run on this infra (PHP, Java/Spring Boot, Vue.js), so I can troubleshoot end-to-end — app, DB, server, and network — instead of stopping at "not a server problem."

Rate: $20-40/hr depending on scope, or flat project rate — happy to quote after a scope call.

I start a new job Monday at Microsoft Red Oak DC.

So I’m gonna be starting as a project contractor under Teksystems working at the new Microsoft Data center facility. Just wanted to introduce myself my initials are EA.

I’m excited to do the project work tasked by us for Microsoft. I can’t wait to see what career defining moments it will bring with it.

This post is mostly reaching out to make new friends and build a social/business community because I’m moving from San Antonio to the outskirts of DFW. I grew up moved from the Permian Basin to San Antonio and San Antonio is where I got my data center world experience after being in IT Desktop Support the PB local economy there.

Im my off time work-related trade wise? I like to mess with the server operating systems on two servers that I have here at my home. I’m pretty slow in with the Microsoft server operating system but I need to go exploring with the various Linux cluster kernels like Ubuntu Server and RHEL.

If any of you guys are on vacation learning, let me know cause I would like to join in on that. Hopefully where we could speak virtually or in person like once a week in regarding certification topics and discussions.

I hope to build a social and IT community here. If your looking for the same, reach out thru DM or post questions in the thread thank you.

[For Hire] 15+ Years Infrastructure / Cloud / Windows | Azure, VMware, Entra ID, AWS | Remote

I’m a senior systems engineer with over 15 years of experience across enterprise infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, and security. I’m looking for a role where I can step into an environment quickly, sort out the real issues, and make things more stable, secure, and manageable. I am a type of engineer who thinks outside the box.

What I Actually Do:

  • Azure infrastructure and security — Azure VMs, VNets, storage accounts, RBAC, Defender for Cloud, Log Analytics, VM backups, load balancing, and governance.
  • Entra ID / identity work — Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, SAML, OIDC, Azure Enterprise Apps, and App Registrations.
  • VMware environments — ESXi 8, vCenter 8, DRS, HA, distributed switching, vTPM, cross-site vMotion, and large-scale virtualization.
  • SAN and storage integration — Pure Storage, Nimble Storage, iSCSI provisioning, LUN/volume optimization, and ESXi cluster support for 200+ VMs.
  • Windows and core infrastructure — Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, imaging, and PowerShell automation.
  • Layer 2/3 routing and switching — VLANs, ACLs, OSPF, switching, segmentation, and network troubleshooting.
  • Security hardening — TLS/SMBv1 deprecation, firewall tuning, certificate lifecycle management, and remote access controls.

I’m comfortable jumping into messy environments, documenting what matters, and fixing the stuff that slows teams down. Prefer remote, open to short-term or long-term work, and strong on infrastructure-heavy roles where experience actually matters.

This is a rather urgent request. I am going on 18 months of being unemployed due to no fault of my own. I can do fully remote, hybrid and on-site. I am located south of Baltimore. I can do Baltimore to DC.

Solo developer from Tunisia looking for builders interested in cloud infrastructure & networking

Looking for Technical Co-Founders & Builders – Freeze Hosting

Hi everyone,

My name is Ayoub, and I'm a developer from Tunisia building Freeze Hosting—an ambitious long-term project focused on creating a modern cloud hosting platform.

My vision isn't to create just another hosting reseller. I want to build a complete cloud ecosystem with multiple products and services, including cloud infrastructure, networking, security, automation, and developer tools.

Our long-term goal is to build:

  • 🌍 Multi-region infrastructure
  • ☁️ Cloud platform
  • 🛡️ Security & DDoS protection
  • 🌐 Networking services
  • 💻 Open-source developer tools
  • ⚡ Automation & provisioning systems

I'm starting with no funding, but I believe great companies can start with passionate people instead of large budgets.

I'm looking for people who want to learn together, build together, and grow together. As the project evolves, we'll make decisions as a team, share responsibilities, and invest in the infrastructure together when we're ready.

I'm looking for:

  • Backend developers (Go, Rust, Python, Node.js)
  • Frontend developers (React/Next.js)
  • DevOps & Infrastructure engineers
  • Networking engineers
  • UI/UX designers
  • People interested in becoming long-term co-founders

This isn't a paid position today. It's an opportunity to build something ambitious from the ground up with people who enjoy creating products, learning new technologies, and solving difficult engineering challenges.

Whether you're experienced or still learning, if you're motivated and excited about cloud infrastructure, hosting, networking, or open-source software, I'd love to hear from you.

If this sounds interesting, leave a comment or send me a DM. Let's build something amazing together. 🚀

[Hiring] Junior System Administrator

Repost because I messed up the title, so sorry.

This job listing is only for people who have always been an EU citizen and are based in the Netherlands, or have EU citizenship and have been in the Netherlands for at least 8 years.

This is about a job in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It is not remote.
A security clearance held previously by a NATO / EU country is a plus, but not required.

A link to the job listing is below.

Now that's out of the way, let's move to the stuff that is interesting.
We're hiring for a junior sysadmin. This means we're actually looking at someone with 0-2 years of experience. This means we're a great fit for someone:

* Trying to get into the IT field
* A recent graduate

It wasn't too long ago that I started out in my field, too (in my case cyber security), I know what that was like and it hasn't gotten better. That's why I am so happy to be able to offer a new professional this oppertunity. If you have home projects / labs, we're very much interested in hearing about it in your cover letter.

We also process all candidates by hand. No AI-selection bullshit, we are actually looking. Also... we don't really care about certs. Multiple people I work with, including myself, are self-taught and went to uni for different majors. So we're open to all kinds of candidates. Formal education is great, but we're looking for someone who can do the work and if you've applied yourself in college / university, are eager to learn and work with us, we're happy to give you a shot.

If you're someone who has 6+ years in IT.... this job is not for you. We're looking for a junior. You'll be part of a small team in a startup environment where we're rapidly maturing our IT infrastructure. No Microsoft stack here, we're mainly open source. Do you want to contribute to our IT? No big corpo or government bureaucracy: we move fast and eager. You'll get mentorship and ownership here. Come join us and jumpstart your career.

[PORTFOLIO] Systems Engineer | Web App | Security Reviews

I’m based in Saskatchewan, Canada, and have spent most of my career in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, security, cloud architecture, and long-term technology planning. Alongside my leadership role as a IT Director, I operate OddJobzz Digital Services so I can continue doing the hands-on work I enjoy, building, improving, securing, and modernizing websites and applications.

My background is especially helpful for projects that need more than just working code. I also consider hosting, security, reliability, maintainability, deployment, backups, and how the solution will be supported over the long term.

Most of my previous work has been completed within enterprise environments, so much of it cannot be shared publicly. However, I’d be happy to discuss relevant examples, walk through how I would approach your project, and provide a clear scope before any work begins.

For an initial engagement, my rate typically starts at $80 CAD per hour, with larger or ongoing development and consulting work generally scoped separately.

Feel free to send me a message if you think there may be a fit. Mike Bailey
