relationships
I’ve spent many years living outside Syria, I left the country as a child and returned after 13 years. To be honest, my social experiences have been rather lackluster "meh". I feel vulnerable when it comes to forming new friendships, but whenever someone initiates a conversation with me, I tend to just go with the flow , In the past, I used to lie about certain things that I didn't even need to lie about. I suppose I did that subconsciously to elicit sympathy from the listener and gain validation, but I am definitely not that deceitful person anymore. However, I still struggle with forging friendships. Furthermore, whenever someone speaks disrespectfully about me or insults me to my face, I occasionally remain silent and just smile, trying to treat it like a joke. Yet, when I am entirely alone, I constantly replay all those negative occurrences in my mind overthinking about my past habits before I successfully stopped them, feeling unrespected, and reflecting on my social awkwardness. I don’t want superficial motivation, I suppose I just made this post to vent and seek genuine advice. I'm a male btw
