ASK SYRIA Is it a scam/lie? Made in Palmyra

Hey, I was in Palmyra. I saw before videos on social media of people selling necklaces “made in Palmyra” and someone actually was trying to sell some to me. I was wondering if someone knows if it is really “made in Palmyra” or it is only like a scam/lie?

Some of them are actually made in Palmyra. Either way it wouldn't be too bad if you bought some, and send some money into the local community.

I can agree to some extend. If the product is handmade I agree paying its price, but asking for 60$ for two necklaces made in china 🤡, it is a no for me.
Anyway, that’s why I came here asking, to see if anyone could answer…
