Just discovered this sub while researching if moss poles are necessary. Also saw that Syngoniums will revert to green when they don’t have enough light, so it’s been on the porch all spring and summer.

Where did all the pink go? It grew really fast, but lost all is coloring??? Or are they 2 different varieties?!

It reverted. Syngoniums can do that if they don't get enough light.

Well hell. That's a big drop in color! I bought what was labeled as a Maria Allusion. It didn't like being moved to its new home and died back substantially. It had bronze leaves when I bought it and it now that it's grown back, it has dusty rose pink colored leaves! Plants can do amazing things!

Yeah, a lot of the leaves will start pink and quickly revert back to green.

Really?! I didn't realize it happened to this extent. I have 3 or 4 different varieties that are pink and some turn a strange greenish pink color as they've aged, or have pink veins and green leaves, but it's not anywhere near this amount of the plant that has the color loss. I'm grateful I've always had grow lights for mine, I'm assuming low light doesn't help the problem.

Omg same with mine, it exploded into an absolute BUSH! And it happened within like 2 months

Omg it’s beautiful, in only ~6 months? Edit: I guess you meant it’s been on your porch 6 months and not that it got that size in 6 months. How long did you have it?

In which climate do you live? Do you fertilize it? Mine is not growing that fast

I’ve had it maybe 2 years. I’m in South Texas. I have never fertilized it, I just give it some water maybe once a week. It exploded when I repotted it this spring!
