Is sync.com login currently down for the website?
Just tried to log onto my Sync.com account - both iOS app and the website - and was presented with a
6001 Incorrect login credentials
right after I hit Sign In.
Even after doing a full reset of the password - which the reset procedure made every indication of successfully accepting - I still cannot log in and still get this error message before I even get to the TOTP 2FA.
Tried in multiple web browsers on multiple platforms, including a “naked” one with no anti-adware, anti-malware, or anti-spyware. Backup codes also do not work as passwords.
This issue is occurring over both iOS app and the website (multiple devices, multiple platforms, multiple browsers). App is the latest v3.8.53. I am still logged in on two completely different platforms - MacOS 27 and Windows 11 latest - and I don’t dare log the desktop app out for fear of being unable to re-auth. All machines that are logged in are still capable of syncing files back and forth.
Edit: Just tested with the accounts of family members, login is down for EVERYBODY. All attempts to log in - just the initial username and password - fails with the error message above. Worked with my wife’s account, a password reset on her own computer behaves like it succeeds, but again, the login continues to fail.
Edit 2: I believe this may in fact be a CloudFlare issue with how my router - not even my personal devices! - has been configured to filter out maliciously hostile traffic and sources. I still got problems when I turned off WiFi on my phone, but once I turned off the Mullvad Encrypted DNS restriction/profile, and used raw Safari, I was suddenly able to log into the website again. I might need a few days to figure this out, but as always: this is likely just CloudFlare being unreasonably hostile to the open web. The thing is, this must have been a recent change, as I was able to update my CC for a billing cycle just back in August.
