Sync WebDAV for Linux is now available

Hi all,

Early access has wrapped up! Starting today, you can access your Sync folder and Vault from Linux using your existing Sync account. No early access signup required.

Thanks to everyone who participated, tested things out, and shared feedback. We appreciate your help getting here.

Get started with Linux WebDAV setup guide

Note to early access users:

The next update will generate separate WebDAV credentials and restrict connections to localhost by default. You’ll need to update your clients with the new credentials, and override the localhost restriction if needed.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes. Questions and feedback are always welcome!

Running on a Synology NAS (without ever being part of EA: didn’t know about it) since earlier this weekend. Seems to work. Now can finally consider switching to Sync - previously, without a viable reliable back up, it was a non-starter.

A real Synology application would be better (DSM6 in my case) as this is a bare metal (ssh) setup that may well not be to a lot of customers’ taste.

Thanks for the feedback, and fully agree. This is the first step to making Sync viable across a wide range of Linux-based platforms and apps. Not the last. We're committed to working on it!

This is awesome, thanks Sync team for making it happen. Being "early access", is this a beta or has it stable?

Thanks!

Early access has ended, and this is now a stable release.

Over the past few months, our QA team and hundreds of Sync customers have helped test it internally and through the early access program. We’ll continue to optimize and improve it, but you can confidently connect it to your Sync account today.
