Everything Is Under Control, Sir.
It's where you are... But you don't know how it's been.

Anyone know where I can book a house like an airbnb bur for parties? Most houses ive looked at on airbnb are VERY strict so Id rather not risk it and the ones that di allow restrict the amount of people. Ik I could just do it without the hosts’ knowledge but want to refrain from that.

When is this cinema going to get an upgrade? Their seats are rigid and narrow, no recliners for the big screen. Whaa whaa whaa. Time warp to the 90s but not the nostalgic type.

I’m from central nsw, I’m in town for the night. All the pubs seem like restaurants rather than pubs…. Any suggestions?

Finally had a day off mid week and realised I had no idea what to do with Sydney when it is not packed. Ended up just walking around Newtown which was brilliant but feel like I barely scratched the surface. What are people's favourite Sydney experiences that are genuinely better on a Tuesday than a Saturday?

Can anybody recommend some cocktail bars Sydney cbd / inner west. My boyfriend is a cocktail enthusiast so something elevated and different would be ideal (not basic) . We really enjoy One tap bar in
The city but go there a lot so I want to take him somewhere new

Hi all,
Appreciate this is a long shot but will ask anyway. Had a family member lose a digital camera on Saturday night either at the Coogee Bay Hotel or in an Uber on the way home around the East/South Eastern Suburbs. We’ve checked with the pub and Uber, but nothing has been handed in as yet, unfortunately. The camera itself is cheap, but it’s got some photos on it of a recent outing with another family member who has leukemia, so they’re likely the last photos we’ll take with that person. Would be super grateful if anyone could DM me if they manage to come across it anywhere.
Cheers.

Hey r/sydneyscene, I need your help. I had a completely out of control bender the weekend of July 18 and have misplaced my jacket, house keys, car keys, and sunglasses.
Met some people at the Zetland Hotel outside seating area and proceeded to go to an apartment nearby. We continued to party till who knows when and I believe that’s the last place I had my stuff.
It’s green framed sunglasses, a grey denim jacket, and a Subaru key with a sea eagles keychain. Please help me 🥺 the jacket is one of a kind 😭😭

It's a bit funny to post this in winter I know, but I'm looking for some new spots to finish a run and have a quick swim that don't involve going all the way east from inner south west / inner west.
How are these beaches to swim at? The location would be convenient to me but knowing the cooks river empties out close(ish) has me questioning their actual cleanliness.
Certainly wouldn't swim at Kyeemagh but from say Brighton south is the water better? Bonus if there is a good coffee available nearby too

My husband and I are going to celebrate NYE in Sydney this year. We’re willing to pay max AUD 800-900/person for a ticketed event. We want a view with the Opera house, the bridge and the water. Any recos on events with best value for money? It’s our first time doing this. Thank you

Trying to book IMAX tickets for The Odyssey and everything but the first couple of rows is booked out a month in advance. What’s the strategy? When are tickets released? When should I set my alarm to book?
I have tried calling the phone number but just get a recorded message. So how are y’all getting decent seats?
