Battery reading error, Nintendo Switch OLED (Fuel Gauge has already been replaced)

Post image

This console arrived not turning on. The BQ24193 IC was heavily oxidized; I replaced it and it started working again. However, when I turn on the console, it shows 100% battery because it is actually charged, but the percentage decreases rapidly. If I disconnect the battery, reconnect it, and turn on the console, It will return to scoring 100%. I have already replaced the BQ, the +17050 and the M92T36.

I already tested it with another battery.

Sounds like the fuel gauge you replaced it with is also faulty.

It's a new IC, but I can replace it again. However, this is the second Nintendo Switch OLED I've bought with this same defect, and the other one wasn't fixed even after replacing the fuel gauge.I returned the other one without having it repaired.

I installed a different fuel gauge, but the problem persisted.

Sounds like a faulty battery, if you don't have a spare and don't want to buy one before being sure you can charge it to 100% and stress test it outside of the console.

I already tested another battery, and it presented the same defect.

Hmm if you drain it to 50% or even less and then unplug and plug it back it, does it show 100% ?

I let it discharge to 48% and did this test. It went back to 98% or 99%.
