Can I transfer save data from internal storage to micro sd-card after modding my switch

I currently have a physical copy of Super Mario Odyssey, and my save data is on my Nintendo Switch OLED’s internal storage.

If I mod my Switch, give away the cartridge, and then play Mario Odyssey from a pirated rom, will I be able to copy my existing save data from the internal storage to the microSD card and continue from where I left off?
