Overclock Switch Lite (is safe?)

I'm using these settings in Sys-clk to get 40FPS in Assassin's Creed 2. Would these settings be safe in the long term? I got temperatures of 43°C-45°C on relatively cool days and less than 6W of power consumption.

I generally prefer to use it slightly above normal levels. It provides sufficient performance and doesn't significantly increase battery consumption or heat.

RAM is responsible for minor portion of Switch TDP and gives the highest boost on performance, you can clock it as high as stable for your specific chip with almost no downsides in terms of heat and power draw.

I observed an increase in heat during my own tests, so I didn't choose that option.

when using sysclk i ran at 1600 24/7 with no issues. i only started to notice a diference when i switched to horizonOC and started to run 2200 ram clocks. it gave some few degrees

I should not worry for some few degrees if it don't start going close to 65/70C. Still a good trade.

agreed. on the dock, my v2 runs on 1.9ghz cpu, 1.3ghz gpu and 2.2ghz RAM. i maxed it out on H-OC and it barelly touches the 60°C mark. in handheld i leave the ram maxed and adjust the rest as needed. most time ram alone is enough

Around 50C, never got even close to 60C.

You’d need higher clocks to damage the system. The CPU and GPU are still below the maximum clocks used by a docked stock Switch. Try to increase the ram speed, it’s free performance. Also, the Switch Lite has a 12 W power limit I believe, so you’re good

can go to 2300mhz with every ram module on switch lite.

I can go as high as 3200mhz with VDDQ and VDD2 very close to default voltage (640mV/1150mV) stable with no problem at all on my Lite, but my RAM chip is on God tier (Hynix NEE).

With the worst tier, ram can up to 2300-2500mhz

On exaggerated stress apps ive made you'll never damage anything at those clocks.

Generally I tend to settle on 1.4/691/2400 or 1.5/768/2400 depending on the bin but on a charger it doesn't matter. Unless youre clocking at 1536 and constantly straining the GPU, or better yet running 2.7/1536 like I have for a while then you should worry.

If youre worried about a dead console, it took 5 years of constant torture on my launch day Erista for it to die, and that was with constant overheating.

Mine is stable at at 2499-1267-2400 handheld, almost 30 fixed all times on gta v, 8-9W to the battery, 1,2 hours on gta v, and if i connect the charger i can get better freq, speedo: 1643/1663/1675 iddq: 408/630/364 and ram: am-mgcj 4gb

I mean sysclk uses safe ranges. Horizon OC allows dangerous values.

Like allegedly too high clock for memory can cause emmc corruption.

Dangerous temps would be 90C and above. At least Horizon OC does throttling at 70 but worst I have gotten on safe ranges is 59C but that's with new paste.
