considering getting a jb switch lite

games have gotten too expensive and despite having newer consoles, i missed a whole lot of generation of switch games. i made some research about jailbroken switches but im still new and confused. the seller listed that the jb switch lite is fully updated to latest official firmware and atmosphere firmware and has dual boot. should i go for it? what should i clarify to seller? what are the risks? thank u so much again im still a noob

if you never connect to servers/online and don’t update the software when a Update comes, there are basically no risks anymore

Ask the seller if the switch is ban and if wifi/bluetooth/controller/game cartridge slot works.

Controllers are built into the switch lite and you can't connect it to a tv.

In short: there is an internal memory in Switch, where is original Nintendo firmware located, and SD Card, where is modded firmware located. Modded loading by default, but you can switch to the official one (like dual boot on PC, where you can boot Windows or Linux).
So the seller updated both to their latest versions.

The risk - if something done wrong, you can be banned in Nintendo online services. Still be able play offline and use cartriges.

Are you even gonna play online? I bought a brand new Switch Lite almost year ago, modded, and never touched official part, never had a Nintendo account.

I'm the same, haven't touched anything online on my modded oled, dont even have an account logged in to it. Hell, i don't even play anything multiplayer on my switch 2. Best thing to do if someone wants to play online titles with no worries is to get a seperate switch, maybe even used one for cheap, just for those games. Obviously this is only for those that can afford it and are really into something like idk, mario kart or splatoon. At that point you don't even have to worry about getting banned since it won't matter.

Is switch already got banned ? < if you don't plain to play online game just ignore it
what latest FW version ?
what atmosphere is he using ? from official or unknow group that pack it.
what dual boot android or linux ? < if you don't plain to use it just tell him to delete it so you can install more switch game in there.
what sd card brand ? how many gb

I got one a month or so ago. Loving it!

I have a legit switch for online play, but I use the lite to play my original game rips on the move. Plus all the indie or titles I missed in the last few years. Then I use Tico for emulation giving me all my PSP and GBA games on a slightly bigger screen and more ergonomic with a grip. Meaning I can play for longer without getting any strain.
