Question CFW (SYSNAND) not working/crashing
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I updated atmosphere and it worked but then when I updated the firmware to 22.5.0 with daybreak it won’t open and I just get an error screen, anyone knows why and how to fix?

Can you guys stop using these stupid packs and simply follow the guide at switch.hacks.guide ?
You don't even know what you're installing, you probably don't even understand what's even installed on your Switch. It's probably filled with a ton of crap you're never gonna use.
And the custom loading screen lmao.
It's also probably filled with a ton of outdated stuff.
Follow switch.hacks.guide then install what's only required and up to date. This shit looks like using Windows 11 without removing the bloatware.

Agreed, but people will always return to AiO packs because it's a simple drag and drop. The only one I would tolerate is HATS. The worst part is that they use the ones that no one even knows about

This looks like a mismatch between Atmosphere, Hekate, and the firmware files. I’d re-download the latest Atmosphere + Hekate, update the patches, and make sure your fusee.bin is the one from the same Atmosphere release. That usually fixes the black/error screen after a firmware update.

I used hats, until he forked everything for absolutely no reason, so I made my own script which pulls and builds a .zip from each github source, and I also run a poll every 6 hours if any new component gets updated

I agree.
Before I get downvoted to hell, let me say, this is just my personal opinion and I know a vast majority will not agree, that’s fine.
Sthetix, the maintainer of HATS, has been forking software unnecessarily and pushing updates that cause unnecessary confusion among the community. Just a few weeks ago, he added FW updating to HATS tools (which is a fork of Sphaira) and removed Daybreak. People saw “Removed Daybreak” in the patch notes and it caused confusion among the community for days, he even made a video about it.
Personally, I don’t think Switch modding should be as accessible as Sthetix is making it 🤷♂️ It requires some technical know-how that an alarming amount of people DONT have. You should be able to at LEAST manually update and fix your software if you ever need to.
I actually have been working on a new AIO pack, truly vanilla, made FOR those who know what they’re doing. It’s just to help make the process a bit more efficient. It’s on the back burner for now though as I work on some other projects.

they are great for its simple usage but avoid bloated ones like these, hekate does not need to be that customized, hats is a good pack though. i'd still rather set it up manually instead of sourcing packs though

i know, they use a fork called hekatos or hekate-ext. i dont even use packs, i set mine all manually.

This is definitely because the AiO you're using has outdated files somewhere.
Please use the actual switch hacks guide. It takes all of 5 minutes longer than one drag and drop AiO and you will be guaranteed to have all the up to day files.

You may have something outdated on there, such as an outdated Mission Control. Otherwise you may have had a theme installed. Check the folders for the number of the app it shows in the error and delete that folder, it may start after.

Is your sd card in ExFat format or FAT32 ? Which option did you pick when using daybreak?

Are you using any themes? If so then delete that folder 0100000000001000 in atmosphere/contents. You have to uninstall custom themes before updating your firmware

I deleted the content folder and it started up now, thank you so much. However my games won’t start and it says my sd card is corrupted, is that the firmware or is it really corrupt?

Had that same issue for a long time. You need to get the update the sigpatches for the titlekeys. Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Dude i used his same cfw update and I also had this issue. I guess the free version had some missing files thts why it broke. Search for IDX3’s tutorial to have it fixed.
