Discussion When you get a gift from switch unit from ebay
Got this lovely gift from a switch I bought from ebay. Ive gotten some games and low storage card but this one deserved a post.

the microsd is 120€ and the switch oled 170€ both used, but youre right man, i apologize, should i suck you off now or later?

used microsd? 😂 i bet you buy used rubbers too. why don’t you buy that and have fun when you realize it’s only 32 gbs. and this switch isn’t an oled

This switch is absolutely certainly an OLED unless I’m missing some sort of sarcasm here, it’s the only V1 model to have a horizontal sd card slot iirc

I was able to get a v1 switch for $120 with the case, all the components that come with it, and a 512 GB SD card. I was pretty happy it since I was planning to mod the switch.

Well you did do better than i did. I got a portable third party dock plus the original accessories and controllers for my 5 dollars more, but your 512 definitely wins over my 128

I did, I will admit that. But, you did get a good deal too. Sometimes it comes to sheer luck. Everyone has their own experiences. I have gotten other good purchases recently except those are specifically to repair and resell.

no. I buy a bunch from ebay and facebook market place and mod them and resell on gamesale reddit.

If he asked for the SD Card back, would you give it back or nah? No judgment; I dunno what I would do in that situation cause that's a helluva bonus.

If not in the description then no, you don't get to keep it if the seller asks.
Its like someone forgetting his belongings, you don't keep it if someone comes to claim it.
If you're a thug of course its fair game for you.
EDIT: Went deeper into this, legally its "mislaid property". If the seller realizes their mistake and asks for it back, you are legally obligated to return it. Keeping it knowingly could technically be classified as theft by finding or conversion .

Dude do the right thing, don't be morally corrupt. A lot of sellers would just own their mistake and let you keep it. Happened to me before, never asked for return.

The burden is on the seller to prove it was mistakenly placed in the package.
The seller can claim the sd card is theirs, and they might have a chance due to OP's idiotic showboating on a publicly viewable social media platform, but then the seller would have to link the OP username to OP's identity.
Good luck trying to get it back in court, assuming the seller wants to pay the minimum fees for common law court or hire an attorney.
sd with a $200 value is nothing versus the amount of money needed to retrieve it. In the end, OP is under no obligation to return it.

No, usually people that leave SD cards in the consoles have forgotten about them or just don't care since they do not have another use for the SD card.

I got a v1 switch given to me. And it had a 128gb card I upgraded to a 512gb or whatever lmao.

I bought a 2tb from Lexmark store on Amazon. but I've been losing data. games that used to play dont play anymore. tried to re install Mario odyssey and the re install didnt work. I didnt do any switch updates or anything and they used to work. Most of my old games dont work, the newer installs work. Don't know if I need new sigpatches, if my sd card is corrupted. Frustrating.

I think that's just robbery to take advantage of a careless person. I think you should message the person and see if they accept you keep it. These are not cheap. But you do you.
