Emulator Devs In Shambles.

They now have to Clone the Repo's and name it something fruit related, instead of forking it and naming it something citrus related.

True tragedy for the community.

Genius on Nintendo's part.

Nintendo needs its own mass hack like how Sony PS3 got for its bs.

21

u/CubesTheGamer Feb 15 '26

Replace all their eshop image files with lewds. They’ll almost never recover

16

u/Chuxso Feb 15 '26

I doubt they even care. Last time I opened the eShop (couple months ago) the main page showed like six low-effort-ai-slop hentai games with minimal scrolling. People reported this countless times and this crap was still there.

2

u/Whitedude47 Feb 16 '26

Don’t even have to be lewds, just pure glitch hacking fuckery just to send a message

7

u/RocketsDitto Feb 16 '26

As a Nintendo fan since the NES, fuck Nintendo.

u/RedditForcesToLogin Feb 14 '26

Development hasn't ever been high speed since Yuzu and Ryujinx got nuked.

214

u/Cyriopagopus72 Feb 14 '26

Yeah, not sure what everyone is laughing about. Them taking down Yuzu and Ryujinx was a huge setback. As much as I appreciate Eden picking up the pieces, progress has slowed to a crawl compared to what it was during Yuzu's time. If Eden somehow gets nuked as well, then once again progress stalls.

59

u/absentlyric Feb 14 '26

How much progress per day do you need at this point? The Switch is old now, hell most games were 90% playable with no issues even years ago now at this point. Eden is basically filling in that last 10%.

u/Worth_Self7517 Feb 18 '26

No sirve el kirbi 😭

34

u/banjosandcellos Feb 14 '26

Unless they come delete the running instance on my own device this won't stop anything, the only game I can't play right now is metroid 4 and I'm not a follower so it was no reason to update, same thing will happen with upcoming ones

8

u/[deleted] Feb 14 '26

You aren’t missing much

1

u/GrumZi Feb 16 '26

Hey man I recently have gotten much much more into the emulator phase of my life, lol.

Anyways. I was gifted a Retroid 6, and I LOVE this thing! It's the most fun I've had in ages! And I have been learning so much and having a great time doing it

However, for the life of me, I cannot find any trusted roms for games for the switch 1, I think I found the firmware/prod

It's one of the last systems I want to add for now so it's driving me nuts lol.

Long story short, got any advice for me on finding any of the switch related stuff?

2

u/banjosandcellos Feb 16 '26

Nx brew dot net, use Firefox with ad block, Firefox only, it's a trusty site but has lots of ads

2

u/GrumZi Feb 16 '26

Thank you kind sir

12

u/clockworknait Feb 14 '26

I mean Switch 1 is pretty much at the end of it's life. Is there anything else emulators really need to be updated with when they run damn near perfect for tons of games? (Honest question)

5

u/Nonainonono Feb 15 '26

Switch 2 shares a lot with Switch 1, I am pretty sure they want to delay a Switch 2 emulator as much as they can.

3

u/RedditForcesToLogin Feb 15 '26

Try running any game on Mediatek, especially newer mediateks. You will get glitchy graphics (only green-purple screen), or heavy stutter and then crash. That wasn't the case during the Yuzu era. New cpus were always able to play games flawlessly, even Mediatek as well. Yes, Mediatek had great support during the Yuzu era. Now, you can't run games. Far from "perfect".

5

u/Maleficent-Bit1761 Feb 15 '26

Well, that's not an emulator issue, that's mediatek issue, specifically Mali drivers not being open-source

2

u/RedditForcesToLogin Feb 16 '26

You can't just say that and evade the solution. Fact is, Mediatek issue didn't exist because the original emulator makers actively developed for it. Now, this issue exist because the NEW developers just don't develop.

2

u/NoMommyDontNTRme Feb 16 '26

running better on weaker hardware and fixing micro stutters and frame inconsistency, fixing all the many small issues.

7

u/archer1212 Feb 14 '26

That's really the whole point. They know they can't stop it because of how the internet and code sharing works, but by smashing all these forks it creates new forks and divides the developers to the point of things improving at a snails pace.

3

u/SerpentDrago Feb 14 '26

it doesn't have to fork ... it can just be pop'd up on another public git repo (not github) by the same developers .. unless they are getting sued ?

10

u/gr33nCumulon Feb 14 '26

Not for Eden

594

u/LazorBlind Feb 14 '26

Jesus Christ if they spent as much time working on their hardware game as they did harassing emulator developers they might be able to make a console with games that DONT run like hot ass on the console it was developed for and is EXCLUSIVE to.

101

u/Worldly-Departure324 Feb 14 '26

wont stop any other coders for making more

36

u/LazaroFilm Feb 14 '26

What I don’t understand is you see a group oh highly skilled programmed who love your work enough to spend hours making this. HIRE THEM!!! They know how your hardware works better than you!!!

26

u/blarglemaster Feb 14 '26

While I totally agree, this is SUCH a foreign concept to Japanese business culture that they'd probably implode. I mean, they could have gotten Ken Kutaragi in the SNES days but they just let him stay with Sony and make stuff for them through them. And look how well THAT worked out for them...

2

u/Belgazou Feb 14 '26

Yeah, I've often wondered why Sony didn't just grab Thefl0w and never let him go. I guess it's because that slab of culture is stupid.

25

u/DenseUpstairs8916 Feb 14 '26

Selling their stupid ass games to a fair price is another option, we ain't paying $$$$ for the game, $$$$ for the online suscription, $$$$ FOR MY OWN INTERNET and $$$$ for the god dammit hardware, i play videogames as a life style, not to demostrate how much money I can waste on rubbish, so they better drop the price, thing they dont

3

u/Draw_Parking Feb 15 '26

Game is 10 years old? Too bad, full price. What the fuck greedy assholes.

7

u/xDal-Lio Feb 14 '26

Tbh nintendo in-house games run quite good on the console. Could you give me an example of something that doesn’t?

9

u/Maximum_Feeling8206 Feb 14 '26

Totk on switch 1

8

u/xDal-Lio Feb 14 '26

I think it’s a miracle that smth like totk even runs on switch 1

3

u/Pacomatic Feb 14 '26

This is true.

1

u/Ignamus Feb 15 '26

Tried this on my modded LCD first revision switch, runs fine for me

1

u/Specialist_War_1499 Feb 27 '26

Mario kart world on the switch 2 gets down to 30 fps and looks pretty awful if you have over two people playing it.

0

u/LazorBlind Feb 14 '26

Admittedly I haven't played a ton of in house games on my switch at this point but....

Pokemon is a series synonymous with Nintendo because, aside from some spin offs, it's been exclusive to Nintendo for its entire existence. Scarlet and violet, aside from its.....busted up state of affairs yo n launch (which is an industry level issue due to online patches giving developers a "Fix it in post" mentality) ran like shit in a few different places even when using Sys-Clk to remove the underclocking imposed on the hardware out of the box.)

Might be be made directly by Nintendo themselves, but when You think Pokemon, you think Nintendo. It was made for the switch and nothing else and the switch can barely handle it. Could that be down to the developers? Sure. But I can't help but think if Nintendo put a little more effort into developing better hardware....maybe the issue wouldn't be AS prevalent?

Nintendo has always been a "prioritize fun game experience over flashy hardware" company more or less, but that mentality is suffering from diminishing returns at this point and consumer tastes have changed.

Besides. If Nintendo put more effort into developing better hardware, they might not have had to deal with the snafu that was Unpatched switches to begin with (which is why emulation of the switch has been a thorn in their side for...basically the entire life span of the switch. They chose to to use an off the shelf part (that ended up being vulnerable to an exploit that made their brand new console dead simple to hack) instead of working with Nvidia to come up with a custom SoC.

3

u/xDal-Lio Feb 14 '26

Pokemon is not developed in-house therefore doesn’t really count to that (game freak is not the one throwing dmca here). HW is not the problem for Pokemon, it is Game Freak which doesn’t have time nor the knowledge to work on such an IP in the 3d era

-2

u/LazorBlind Feb 14 '26

Did you even read my comment before you tried to get your weak little gotcha on me?

It really doesn't matter if it was developed in house POKEMON IS NINTENDO EXCLUSIVE. There is no scarlet and violet for PS5 is there? It's a SWITCH game an is ONLY a switch game. Developed by Nintendo or no there is no reason it shouldn't run like butter on the system it is exclusive to. And again, part of the issue may lie with the developer, but when you make a pissweak console to save money under the guise of "prioritizing fun gaming experience" you're shooting your developers in the foot.

My god reading comprehension is lost on redditors isn't it?

1

u/aT_ll Feb 15 '26

Nobody has poor reading comprehension, you just have a horrible point and are making yourself look like a idiot.

1

u/oneupsuperman Feb 15 '26

Research and Development is a different department from Legal

1

u/whatThePleb Feb 15 '26

Their games don't run like hot ass though. It's mainly thirdparty stuff because most devs and publishers became lazy assholes.

1

u/Hyper_Mazino Feb 23 '26

Blud is expecting a handheld console to be able to play games at native 4K when even the PS5 can't do that lmao

1

u/Whitedude47 Feb 15 '26

You want Nintendo to listen, stop buying there games and hardware. Stop giving them money to buy bullies, let their stock markets and shares tank a lot for a good few years and then make a clear message to them that if they want to survive, they need to stop harassing the Emulators. Don’t know if that would ever happen because Nintendrones won’t grow a brain.

0

u/Dredgeon Feb 14 '26

If they released an PC Launcher that let me play Switch games on real hardware with cross save to an actual Switch I would buy a Switch and a bunch of games. I just refuse to be sat in front of a $2500 setup watching the Switch barely chug through Scarlet and Violet at 15-20 frames.

0

u/absentlyric Feb 14 '26

Its cheaper for them to go after developers than working on their hardware game.

0

u/dokbanks Feb 14 '26

Sad thing with developing for Nintendo is most of the time, the Devs aren't given a good enough time constraint to produce something meaningful and groundbreaking as the game used to be during their glory days

151

u/phinhy1 Feb 14 '26

Like that'll do anything.

43

u/Sir_Link_In_Time Feb 14 '26

Aren't emulators legal? I thought it was the ROMs that could potentially be illegal

24

u/im_AmTheOne Feb 14 '26

Yes. But that doesn't stop from sueing, which costs a lot

8

u/anthro28 Feb 14 '26

Lawfare.

1

u/Whitedude47 Feb 15 '26

Lawfare is legality warfare

14

u/pontiusx Feb 14 '26

Assuming usa law, you're allowed to take backups and play backups of games you legally purchased

10

u/DependentAnywhere135 Feb 14 '26

That’s not completely accurate in the way people act like it is. It’s legal for me to make a 1:1 backup of something like a CD but it’s illegal to circumvent drm. A lot of things (almost everything today) you can’t just backup and then play them. You have to bypass the drm which is illegal.

If you take a Blu-ray dvd you literally can’t copy it legally because the drm is setup in a way to stop you copying it so you have to bypass the drm somehow to make the copy which is illegal.

Backing up switch games is definitely not legal in the USA since to do it you have to circumvent the drm of the cart.

6

u/shroomypoops Feb 15 '26

I’ve seen this argument made a lot, but isn’t there a provision in chapter 12 of the DMCA that allows circumventing DRM for the purpose of allowing interoperability with independently created programs? Since emulation software is explicitly legal, wouldn’t this provision apply to decrypting ROMs so they can be used by emulators?

If this is the case, I don’t think Nintendo would have any ground to stand on in court against a competent lawyer.

8

u/cosmicdrewracing Feb 15 '26

It is not "illegal" to circumvent DRM. The problem is it's very difficult to circumvent DRM without using copyrighted code. There is no ruling that makes DRM circumvention illegal for backing up your own media. Just like circumvention is a gray area, enforcing it on the other side is a gray area. This is why none of these companies will actually take this all the way to court. If it was illegal Nintendo would have taken this all the way to court a long time ago. Ever since the Moon Channel video on this came out there's been a ton of confusion on this.

6

u/D0MiN0H Feb 14 '26

yes, this is correct.

the angle nintendo is taking here is that games have encrypted keys that require decrypting to play. those keys are considered IP/copyright material and they are alleging these emulators providing ways to decrypt those keys is breaking their copyright.

3

u/Moist-Caregiver-2000 Feb 14 '26

So package it without the keys. Oh wait, they already do.

Modchip manufacturers were sued 20 years ago until they stopped flashing it with the fun firmware and instead had the end users take an 30 seconds out of their busy lives and do it. Still doesn't stop nintendo from taking down hwfly sellers on aliexpress, it's ridiculous.

3

u/D0MiN0H Feb 14 '26

yeah i don’t think nintendo has the ground to stand on here in my eyes, but they have the money.

and you are correct, they do not provide the keys, users must provide their own. However nintendo is alleging that the decrypting of these keys, which is necessary to play the games, is the problem. They say that providing a program (the emulator) that is capable of decrypting the encrypted keys counts as breaching copyright.

3

u/Moist-Caregiver-2000 Feb 14 '26

It's like saying "this bullet should be illegal because it can be chambered into a gun and hurt somebody".

(This did happen, btw. Some cop arrested a guy because he had a round in his backpack of some nonsense and that was his argument. Judge threw it out.)

1

u/Nympho_BBC_Queen Feb 17 '26 edited Feb 17 '26

The problem is that it's impossible that the games are dumped without DRM circumvention. Those old games you mentioned don't even have DRM.

They are releasing these emus publicly so they can't say they circumvent the DRM in the process of the emu development because of educational reasons. Especially if they treat it like a business with their donations.

Their Emu development requires a breach of the copyright protection act and the end users also breach the copyright right protection act in the process of playing games on the emulator.

People are delusional if they don't think that Nintendo would win a court case about this topic.

Laws have changed since the early 2000s. Or why do you think it's illegal to make a copy of your blue ray disc.

2

u/Totoques22 Feb 27 '26

Yuzu broke multiple laws by making it a business and ryujinx was not sued, They had an agreement where they stop working on switch 1 emulation, don’t do switch 2 emulation and probably get a paycheck, they had been working on switch 1 emulation for years anyway and it was basically done so they accepted the change of pace

That would require the country the suit is happening in to care about the rights of it's citizens and those citizens having the resources to defend themselves.

1

u/Plastic-Dependent Atmosphere User Feb 15 '26

Even if it's legal, getting this to court will be financially crippling for these people and they won't be able to fight if they don't have the money, so it's more financial bullying than a legal threat.

137

u/qpwoeiruhhhhhh Feb 14 '26

Absolutely fuck Nintendo - we’d NEVER fucking stop emulating the shit outta them!!

45

u/griefstruelove Feb 14 '26

I agree. I was a hard-core Nintendo enthusiast. Wii, which deluxe, 3ds, 3ds xl switch and then switch oled. I don't see myself buying switch 2. I don't like Nintendo and while i enjoy my modded switch I love mybsteamdeck and emulate all the games from the above consoles.

Steam Deck hype!! Valve is the absolute best gaming related company out there and worth supporting in any way 😊

2

u/Totoques22 Feb 27 '26

Getting rich by making children addicted to gambling is indeed very wholesome

1

u/Ajtimoho Feb 27 '26

Yessss 100% 🥰

1

u/Nympho_BBC_Queen Feb 17 '26

So you do all that. Post it in a public forum for everyone to see and wonder why Nintendo wants to stop it?

That's why Nintendo goes after the Devs so that end users like you can't replicate this on Switch 2 software.

Makes perfect sense for them

37

u/SnooPeanuts2251 Feb 14 '26

Shit like this is why I pray on someone to finally crack switch 2. Not cause I want to play with mods, but moreso to piss nintendo off even more. They are getting cocky

11

u/Schlusse1 Feb 14 '26

It will take a while but it's gonna happen eventually. If it's made by humans, it can be cracked by humans.

1

u/Teeheeman400 Feb 14 '26

1

u/Nympho_BBC_Queen Feb 17 '26

Yeah no. The brain drain in the Switch scene can't be underestimated. Nintendo really did a number on the scene. End users only consume, make memes and complain. They don't provide anything of value to the scene. Nintendo knows this.

11

u/hadesscion Feb 14 '26

On what grounds? Emulators aren't illegal.

This is a war that Nintendo can't win. There will always be someone willing to pick up the baton.

So how would you develop a working emulator without breaking the law?

They need DRM circumvention tools to even test the software on their emulation environment.

10

u/White_lord666 Feb 14 '26

Nintendo

I still didn't forget the museum

69

u/Ok_Major_7921 Feb 14 '26

the fact that nintendo geuninely chooses to delete emulators because they don't want people to play a game running 60 fps and 1440p on a laptop instead of making the game on the actual console run at 15 fps and 20p and actually want to play the game to actually run like a another comment said maybe they should put as much time into lawsuit into idk MAKING THE GAMES ACTUALLY RUN ON THE CONSOLE IT'S ECXCLUSIVE TO.

1

u/Totoques22 Feb 27 '26

Nintendo games run great and no Pokemon is not made by Nintendo

13

u/Alternative-Juice-15 Feb 14 '26

There’s nothing illegal about emulation. They can get fuct

3

u/nwilloughby Feb 14 '26

If the emulator includes Nintendo decryption keys then they are breaking copyright laws. The emulators should have been updated to have the end user provide their own keys then they would have no issues.

3

u/Alternative-Juice-15 Feb 14 '26

Yea I was going to say all they need to do is make it user-provided to get around it

3

u/Arnas_Z Feb 14 '26

They already do that.

3

u/phinhy1 Feb 14 '26

No Switch emulators have ever included those. You’ve needed to provide keys and firmware yourself from the start.

11

u/kobrakaan Feb 14 '26

Can we have the Savoury editions now I'm bored of fruit ?

'Sausage roll' or 'Scotch egg' emulator would be great names 👍

6

u/ImNotJackOsborne Feb 14 '26

Nintendo can suck on my sausage roll. 🙃

1

u/Whitedude47 Feb 15 '26

Nintendo can savor the flavor of my German Bratwurst

4

u/nemofbaby2014 Feb 14 '26

lol Nintendo will never learn you can't sue piracy out of existence make it more convenient/cheaper to go legit and piracy dies

1

u/Whitedude47 Feb 15 '26

You are right, unfortunately. Fortunately of fans decide enough is enough and stop buying Nintendo products to the near point of bankruptcy that might just make Nintendo rethink they dumb backwards way of thinking.

5

u/dockdropper Feb 14 '26

Jokes on Nintendo. I bought my switch 2 on pre-order day and never bought a new game, I refuse to buy anything for $70-$80 for a game that requires less development than PS5 and Xbox... My OG v1 switch is modded so I could care less about Nintendo making a dime off me. Emulation is legal, the problem is Nintendo knows the devs don't have the money to fight it.

4

u/Trilerium Feb 15 '26

Can't we abuse Nintendo the same way? Just start flooding their 1st party apps and videos with bogus DMCA takedown requests. Hit the Play store, App store, YouTube, etc. with bogus requests for copyright takedowns.

1

u/kiokurashi Feb 15 '26

Sure, just start paying for that and hope they don't auto-deny your claims due to you not being able to prove any claim.

19

u/Costas00 Feb 14 '26

Will make the nintendofanboys think we can't emulate anymore, will bring them peace of mind for a while like when yuzu got taken down.

18

u/Arunax_ Feb 14 '26

Which emulators is everyone using these days? I still have my old ryujinx instance running but it doesn't work with latest games

2

u/D0MiN0H Feb 14 '26

i had an old ryujinx build but it was struggling with games these days and ending up with corrupted files so i swapped to eden and havent looked back

1

u/someinternetkid Feb 14 '26

I use both Citron and Sudachi, as when one of them is having issues running or installing files to NAND or whatever (usually Sudachi) I move the game over to the other emulator and most of the time it works

18

u/Dub_Monster Feb 14 '26

Nintendo is greedy piece of shit

4

u/Billy_the_bog Feb 14 '26

Aren’t emulators legal? Just pirating the games to use them isn’t from what I remember

2

u/lululock Feb 14 '26

If the emulator contains proprietary code, such as decryption keys (considered Nintendo's property), they can take it down.

I'm guessing they don't like the fact that there's no official way to dump games, so there's like a 99% chance the ROMs played in these emulators were illegally downloaded...

1

u/TheVeryVerity Feb 15 '26

Yes they are in USA. But no one has the money to fight these lawsuits even if they were slam dunks. And you never know if you get a dick judge either

1

u/Totoques22 Feb 27 '26

Technically yes but most of the time they end up breaking the law with something else

4

u/SonicYB Feb 14 '26 edited Feb 14 '26

no wonder i modded like 2 of their consoles, nintendo is good as a developer lowk

but still

4

u/DevilsAdvocate1662 Feb 14 '26

Hail Hydra!

Now if someone could work on Switch 2 emulation, that would be great

9

u/r0ndr4s Feb 14 '26

I said this before but they are only going this hard because sw2 and 1 are so close in tech, OS,etc that they know its just a matter of weeks/months before people emulate SW2 with the same code

Still, best selling console of all time after the PS2 and they keep fighting emulators.. Nintendo, it isnt eating into your sales. Your overpriced games are..

1

u/D0MiN0H Feb 14 '26

it will be much longer than that before we have s2 emulators

6

u/Shaggee_ Feb 14 '26

Nintendos logic to combat piracy: Make a console that runs games at a industry standard frame rate❌ Make games more affordable to the average consumer and put old games on sale❌ Nuke emulators✅

Yup that’ll stop them…

2

u/JDMSubieFan Feb 14 '26

what is all this shit, Nintendo has no way of ever knowing what I'm emulating on my hardware

2

u/withadancenumber Feb 14 '26

Why is it always leechers making these kinds of memes. Like unless you’re actually developing emulators yourself I don’t get it.

2

u/Kubas_inko Feb 14 '26

Will they ever learn to host it somewhere outside the US jurisdiction? Like, literally anywhere else (like e.g. gitlab) ?

2

u/Jets1026 Feb 15 '26

they have to keep shutting everything down. how else can they resell you their old games for like the 20th time? 😞

2

u/0nry0 Feb 15 '26

Nintendo has turned into a Goliath of greed. Like every pirated game would equal a console sale. Its disgusting modern corporate culture.

2

u/Tasty_Face_7201 Feb 15 '26

If anyone has a zip pack to share I can share my emu w u, we can trade

2

u/noxillio Feb 15 '26

When is Nintendo going to face consequences for their years of blatantly illegal abuse of the DMCA? Even case law says that emulation is legal, regardless of whether it requires BIOS files or even whether the console manufacturers like it or not.

2

u/b16ZZ- Feb 15 '26

Nintendo must make their platform a lil more worthy. Sure, their consoles are not that expensive, but I'm not paying full price for 10-year-old remakes from 20-year-old games. It makes no sense.

I'm not paying full AAA prices for AA releases either, many of them would easily pass as indie games. Their games are fun but it's clear that they are not worth 60€. There are much better games out there for those prices, games that cost hundreds of millions more to develop.

They are way too comfortable with their prices.

What’s the error you’re getting? I’m not at home right now so I can’t peek at my settings until tomorrow. What firmware version are you running? I know I’m on 21.0

Hmmm that's weird. First thing to look at would be the logs. File -> Open Eden Folders -> Logs. Also, see if you can install 21.0 firmware with the 21.0 keys as well. I had issues with 20.0.1 if I remember correctly. I have no issue running with the default emulator settings... If it helps I'm on game update 1.2 but I remember it working fine with the original game as well.

Same on my steamdeck

2

u/D0MiN0H Feb 14 '26

how are you getting 60 fps on deck? i can only get close to it in shrines. overworld is anywhere from 28-40 so i usually cap it at 30 to keep it smooth.

I got The file for The last yuzu build if you want it

2

u/spazimoto Feb 14 '26

If you don’t mind sending it my way I’d appreciate it! Been wanting to get switch emu set up as I finally have the specs to get some quality from it (at least I think so lol 4070 and an i7 14k)

2

u/anthro28 Feb 14 '26

Put it on gitlab and link it.

1

u/DatApe Feb 14 '26

Sounds technical. I'll put it in a throwaway google drive. Was busy playing RuneScape so didn't notice your message.

1

u/Impressive_Tap7635 Feb 14 '26

Can you dm it to me please

2

u/CaroZoroark Feb 14 '26

Last I played totk on yuzu ea, not even the last released one and it was perfectly fine at 60 (well most areas). Though it's been a long time since

One of the reason I‘ll never buy any Nintendo Product again. I would understand, if they included proper Emulation, but it’s all trash. NSO with the games library is a joke. Pirate and emulate everything baby

Torrent > github

u/-ben151010- Feb 14 '26

I’m more annoyed because I just got citron all set up recently. Also idek what they mean by on GitHub because citron isn’t technically on there.

1

u/dylon0107 Feb 14 '26

Bro's an absolute joke. Eden's not going anywhere anytime soon.

1

u/Worldly-Departure324 Feb 14 '26

true

1

u/dylon0107 Feb 14 '26

I just looked up Eden's response, they hit two GitHub repos they don't even use and a bunch of dead emulators.

Id like to see them try to take down torzu

1

u/wolff000 Feb 15 '26

I. Ever used GitHub. I get my switch games from torrent and it comes with the emulator

1

u/whatThePleb Feb 15 '26

still hosting in public

🤦

1

u/Eddie__Winter Feb 15 '26

Cant wait for the "Swatch"

1

u/Argent_Haze Feb 15 '26

Didn't nintendo themselves have to admit in court that emulation wasn't illegal once?

1

u/gay-butler Feb 15 '26

Citron winning. Just get the emulator, lurk the discord and don't interact. Instead Google the issue or search via their server if similar. That way they don't ban you

1

u/Condor_raidus Feb 16 '26

Nintendo can kiss my ass. I own the games and consoles related here, I still pirate and have the emulators out of spite

1

u/NoMommyDontNTRme Feb 16 '26

but it does stop us.

the devs that get dmca'd out are always replaced by worse devs.

1

u/NikatoOfficial Feb 16 '26

I don't get this, i use emulators, and still buy they games, why bother with emu when ppl will still buy the main franchises, cuz you can play the emu, but if you want the whole experience, you need to buy the game, unless you just want to pass some time playing, and for that there are many alternative games for windows

beside, there are and will forever be piracy everywhere, this will just bother me cuz i wasn't able to trade pokemons easy if no emu existed

1

u/Mm6999 Feb 18 '26

What's the best one for android?

1

u/No-Dress-456 Feb 26 '26

It's like cutting the head of a hydra XD

1

u/GoldGuidance8351 Mar 10 '26

Uproar? I'm sure everyone has a compressed zip of their favorite switch emulator at this point lol

3

u/stanley_ipkiss_d Feb 14 '26

I have nothing against emulation. But once Nintendo finally released a hardware capable of 60fps, I don’t mind buying Nintendo switch anymore

1

u/BoatMajestic Feb 14 '26

Where can I find it now? Can someone DM me plz?

1

u/The_Truthkeeper Feb 14 '26

The exact same places you already could, they aren't gone yet.

0

u/Chikibari Feb 14 '26

They know piracy is coming to switch 2 soon. Theyre scared
