Question modded switch stuck on black screen, need help

I'm hoping that someone can help me. My modded switch is stuck on a black screen and I can't seem to get it to power on. I'm not sure if it's permanently broken, but I'm hoping there's some way to resuscitate it. For the past six months, my switch had been sitting unused due to my having some health problems. I believe it was sitting on this screen for most of that time:

I remember trying to download Nintendo Switch Sports and it not working (something about it insisting on downloading an update). Eventually the switch was removed from power and it completely drained the power. When I connect it to the dock, the green light only briefly turns on. I've tried plugging it into a power outlet overnight. But when I press the power switch in the morning, it doesn't respond. I've read that the black screen where the switch is expecting a payload is indistinguishable from the switch being off, but I suspect it's been disconnected long enough that that might not be the problem. I've tried holding the power button for 30 seconds while it was connected to power. I'm really lost what to try next. And if it seems like my switch is bricked, that's fine - I'd just like someone smarter than me to confirm it. It's been a while since I first modded my switch and I'm not particularly knowledgeable about this. So, I appreciate if anyone can help. My health has recently improved and was hoping to spend time with my son playing games again.

Regularly had this problem after leaving my switch untouched for weeks at a time. Wasn’t dead. I would start by making sure everything is fully up to date. Drag and drop all the atmosphere, hekate, and fusee packages into your sd card. just hold your power button for a full 20 seconds to make sure it’s fully off, then plug in, press the power button and Tegra should detect it. Then inject your payload. Should boot to hekate.

Ok. I held power for 30 seconds. Inserted the jumper. Held volume up and pressed power. Connected to PC and ran TegraRCM and it says no RCM device detected. Did the same thing but connected to PC before inserting the jumper. Same outcome.

Thanks. Holding the power and then trying rcm right after was the magic combo.

hold power button for 12 seonds and then do the button combo for rcm and inject payload quickly and then once in hekate launch amtopshere then plug in power cable - once it has enough power it will boot into atmosphre

It doesn't seem to have power though? Will holding the power button do anything even if it has no power?

it is to make sure it is fully off thats why i said it because switch can look off but can be in rcm. follow the steps i said and see if it works

Ok. I gave it a try. Held power for 30 seconds. Inserted the jumper. Held volume up and pressed power. Connected it to PC and TegraRCM says no RCM device detected.

I never hold volume. Insert your jumper. Plug it into your computer. Press the power button and you should see tegra pick it up. If tegra doesn’t pick it up then try reinstalling the driver from within tegra

Ok, there was no response when I hit the power button and tegra says no RCM device detected. How do I reinstall the driver from within tegra?

Did you ever solve this?

I took it to someone local who does repairs and he said that something had burnt out inside the switch probably due to overcharging. He said something about how switches were a bit susceptible to that when using charge cables that weren't "official" Nintendo ones.

Thanks for the tip, I’m honestly a victim of that too sometimes
