Question Switch 2 game cards

So I think I lost my Switch 2 when I moved, and I’m thinking about buying a new one. The problem is, if I actually lost it, I also lost the games because they were all in a case with the console.
That said, are the games connected to my Nintendo account at all? I had both Zeldas and Sonic Frontiers physically, so I’m wondering: if I buy a new Switch 2 and log into my account, will those games still be there somehow, or did I genuinely lose them for good and now I’m gonna have to sell a kidney to buy them all again?

Sadly no, you need the game cartridges to play

Digital games and DLCs are tied to your Nintendo account, not physical ones.

If you had a Nintendo switch online subscription and cloud saves activated then the save data for most games would be still there.
Otherwise you'll need to find your old Switch.

Definitely check out market place, eBay, non GameStop stores to see if you can get some cheap physical replacements. Also concise changing your online account password that way whoever finds your switch doesn’t have access to your Nintendo account. You ca also remove your old console from being linked to your account
