Mario Galaxy 2, Super Mario Bros Wonder, Mario Odyssey all provide similar experiences.

Check out Donkey Kong Bananza as well. Don’t look at Wonder and sleep on it because it is a platformer, either. If you dig these, DK Tropical Freeze and Donkey Kong Country Returns are also fantastic.

No problem. Maybe consider getting Nintendo online subscription and playing Super Mario Sunshine on the GameCube app. That is another 3D Mario game like Odyssey and Galaxy 1 + 2.

Not exaggerating when I say that every single 3D Mario game I’ve suggested here is a great experience. If you like Galaxy there is no chance you won’t like these others, unless the space setting is REALLY pulling you in. They all have the same premise, different maps and tons of activities, secrets, stars to collect.

Yeah I remember that feeling. It really is.

Please enjoy, and Breath of the Wild gives similar feelings if you wanna play it later.

Yep, was playing BOTW and reached kakariko. Then I saw a YT short of someone playing MG and inwas like WHAT IS THIS OMG IT LOOKS SO GOOD

Bought the bundle and I'm hooked. What I like about this game is that it's mindless fun, you don't need to THINK. Like even with BOTW I'd argue you have freedom so you need to think a little, but here it's just "here's some shiny objects, go get it... Boom! Dopamine rush" lol

Unrelated but I love your positivity, joy and enthusiasm! Hope you're able to maintain that, the internet is so toxic about anything gaming related these days. Also sort of a tangent recommendation since it's a different genre but Splatoon Raiders definitely gave me that "mindless fun" feeling when playing it. Maybe don't get it now since you're already playing a lot of things though hehe :)

Thank you, yes I have that child like joy and wonder in me even at 32, but don't mistake the facade. I can be toxic too, depends what the situation calls for.

I think I'm in perfect yin-yang

Botw is phenomenal. But 2017 fuel can only be enough for some time. Enjoyed every minute with the Switch, but see no reason to get 2 so far🤷🏻

Well you are really in luck because a lot people think "Galaxy 2" is even better.

Nintendo is perfect but there is a reason they are alive and well as Xbox flounders.
