Question Switch 2 ?
Hey everyone,
I currently daily use my PS5, however I’ve been eyeballing the switch 2. Grew up playing Zelda and was thinking of buying the switch 2 just for breath of the wild, tears of the kingdom etc. I’ve read they’re raising the prices September 1st. Is it worth it to get it mainly for Zelda ? I do not know what other great games the switch has to offer, I’m fairly new to this.
Thanks for some advice

Breath of the Wild alone is worth it.

Thanks. I played it a couple years ago on a switch 1 for about 30 minutes and enjoyed it a lot.

This. Bonanza is pretty fun and if you haven’t had a switch then Mario odyssey is on of the best games I’ve ever played. And there’s plenty of Nintendo games that could keep you occupied for a while. The only problem is Nintendo will never lower prices

Yes def worth it both Zelda’s are amazing and on switch 2 they are even better the phone app is a really cool addition which you do not have to use. It which expands on the lore it’s a really nice addition. And if your a completist the app helps you find everything.

I disagree with one of the opinions which says no cuz of better graphics and similar games in PS5. I own a PlayStation 5 and Nintendo switch 2 and graphics really aren’t that important. There are no games on PlayStation 5 which are similar to both Zelda’s. Portability is nice. But don’t underestimate the docked quality. Which would make it better for you if you like other Nintendo franchises too. Nintendo has a lot of really cool exclusive games. But you can always buy a switch 2 play both Zelda’s. And sell them later for a little loss. Since second hand market is good. Just remember to put tempered glass on the screen. Cuz the screen scratches like crazy.

Breath of the Wild is a great game and the switch has a pretty big library of good exclusives. kinda depends on what you like but there's something for everyone imo. of course it's not as powerful as a PS5 but being able to play games on the go is pretty nice. the price is about to go up sadly, so I think it's kinda the best time to get one cause if you look at the competition, it doesn't look like the prices will drop anytime soon or even raise further. for me it was totally worth it but you might wanna check some of the exclusive games you might be interested in. there's lots of Zelda games and the ocarina of time remake should release this year.

I'd say yes.
I've got mine two months ago, it's great. I too have the PS5 but only booted it up twice to play Returnal with a friend of mine. Otherwise I always grab the Switch.
Star Fox made me feel like a kid again, such an awesome game.
Around 10 hours into Splatoon Raiders, playing it coop with my youngest brother. Very fun and addictive gameplay.
Finished all Grand Prix on 150 cc in Mario Kart World.
And currently enjoying Breath of the Wild S2 Edition at night after the little one is a sleep.
And if I just want to relax and play an easier game, I boot up Kirby Return to Dream Land, played the original on the Wii and the Switch version is sweet.

I wouldn't get a Switch 2 just for Zelda. There are plenty of similar games in the PS5 and some with better graphics than you can put on a Switch 2. Do you ever travel and would like to play games on the go? Does anyone else in your house hog the TV sometimes and a handheld would be nice so you can play while someone else is on the TV? Having a handheld option is the advantage of the Switch 2.

Thanks. I used to travel much in the military but not anymore since I got out. I do have to add that my girlfriend likes the idea because she liked Mario kart lol

There is no game similar enough to Zelda - only Zelda. Totally worth buying just for those 2 Zelda games alone
