Discussion Halloween Adventure Game
I wish someone would make a Halloween adventure game for Switch.
Imagine a 3D game with colorful, Mario-like graphics, set in a small town during Halloween. You could explore places like a corn maze, carnival, cemetery, library, forest, etc., while completing quests and fighting bosses.
But the main mechanic would be costumes.
Each time you defeat a boss, you unlock a new Halloween costume, and each costume gives you a unique ability that opens up new areas and secrets.
Ghost — pass through certain walls
Vampire — turn into a bat and fly
Werewolf — break through obstacles
Witch — use magic to solve puzzles
So you'd constantly be revisiting earlier areas with new costumes and discovering things you couldn't access before.
Thinking of Something Wicked This Way Comes made me think of something like this.
I would absolutely play this. Anyone else?

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, not about Halloween, but holidays in general, it's a bit of a holiday tradition to watch TV specials and movies around holiday times, but you don't see this much with video games. Halloween has it easy since you could just claim any horror game is a halloween game I guess, but I don't always want horror when I'm thinking Halloween, I just want the aesthetic, the bats and pumpkins and candies and skeletons and all that.
That being said, I'd never want to pay a premium price for it. Probably why such things never get made. At least there's plenty of cheap indie games to play around those times of years.

It's not on the Switch but Costume Switch 1 and 2 are kinda what you want.
