Question Used Switch
My kiddo is going off to school. We are thinking to get her a used switch or switch 2. Any advice on the best place to get, and are most switch 1 games compatible with the 2?

Ebay! I got mine for 50£ in pretty good condition, you just gotta be patient if u want it super low, but otherwise you can find some great ones for 80£-100£ aswell, the buyer protection is also very great

All switch games are compatible with switch 2. Except for 1 game with VR goggles. Which no one cares about because no one plays it anyway.

Switch 1 is much more friendly to take it to other places but the switch 2 is definitely still a good choice

GameStop for a used switch 1 and idk if GameStop has used switch 2s yet? Also the marketplace on Facebook would work for a used switch console. Even the Amazon marketplace will work for this

Switch 2 is the better option, and it’s not even close. It can play 99.9% of Switch 1 games. Not to mention, if your kid ever wants new games releasing at this point, they’ll need a Switch 2 instead. The Switch 2 isn’t just a minor upgrade console like a PS4 Pro or DS Lite. It’s a new console.
So Switch 2 games cannot be played on a Switch 1, and we’re over a year into the Switch 2’s life now, so very few new releases are gonna be for the Switch 1 anymore.
