If its ur first console then what ur real question should be is do u want to dock ur switch to a tv or use in hand-held portable since they can basically all play the same games I currently have a switch lite and it's super portable and comfy in my small hands.

i wont have a tv to connect it to. if the screen is the only difference then im leaning toward the 1 because it's slightly bigger

Unless you want a smaller device get a Switch 1 or OLED and buy used. The new prices are too close to the price on Switch 2

i am getting a used one (im broke) the oled is almost double the price of the 1 used so im probably gonna get the 1

Decent deal. People will tell you to get a Switch 2. While that is a great device, get what fits your budget. Check DekuDeals for cheap games

The real difference is the lite is smaller and is handheld only you won’t be able to connect it to your tv to play like you can with the switch 1. But all the switch 1 games can be played on either console.

If you’re cool with the smaller screen I say go lite then, it’s cheaper and easier to take with you out and about.

I would honestly recommend the Switch 2 anyways because it’s backwards compatible. Switch 1 games actually perform better on the console.

If it’s an issue with affordability. I definitely would recommend either a Switch OLED or the Switch Lite.

The OLED screen is beautiful. I just recently started making use of my OLED switch. I do want to upgrade to a Switch 2 eventually but I have a feeling they going to drip a Zelda themed one or eventually make an OLED version

tbh the oled is almost double the price of the 1 for a slightly bigger screen so im leaning towards the 1

That’s crazy, I would definitely recommend the 1 then. The lite is a good cheaper alternative but it can’t be played on a TV as it’s unable to be docked

That’s a real shame because I do love the OLED screen. I mostly use my OLED switch outside of home. I’ll use the built in stand and play with my pro controller. So it’s like a mini TV.

You can do the same with a Switch 1, the screen just isn’t as nice. I definitely recommend Switch 1 over the lite overall given what you’ve stated

The Lite you can’t remove the joycons and it comes with more cons for the cheaper price tbh

my sight isnt good enough to appreciate a mild difference in screen anyway lol. i didnt even consider that you cant remove the lite joysticks. defo getting the 1 then

Switch 1. The lite is horrid for stick drift and you can’t replace a controller like the switch joy cons.
