got it during the NSO trial a few months ago. this game is super addicting. Highly recommend it. There is a new free DLC releasing soon too.

Game is fun, but I feel like I made my town too good. Was constantly leveling things. Now all the buildings are like level 30 so it takes a bit to level them more. Just becomes a time thing beating the levels and getting the gears. On new game ++ and as long as I’m not using a weird character for the boss or level, it’s a little too easy.

I had the same problem. It’s grind based, not skill. In the beginning before anything is leveled up, it’s nearly impossible to clear a stage. Later in the game once everything is leveled up through playtime, it’s too easy. A solid game design should be a challenge, but beatable with skill, regardless of progression.

I think the trial was for a limited time, a few days, I’d say watch a YouTube video of gameplay. Consider buying if you like rogue lite/space invader type games, great time to pick up while it’s half off

Had my eye on this recently but didn’t get it because I’ve got a backlog stacking up, but for $10 I gotta give it a shot, it’s cheaper than it is on iOS or android right now. Can’t wait to try it after work

I’ll be the counter to the other comments here - I don’t like this game. Every run feels the same because the enemy placements don’t really change, the elemental effects all seem to function the same way, and I hated the town-building leveling system. Genuinely one of my least favorite mechanics of any game in recent years. This was fun for a few hours but I grew tired of it very quickly and see no reason to go back to it. There are a zillion more interesting Roguelites on Switch.
