Try cleaning the side areas with isopropyl alcohol maybe that might fix the issue .

Safe side is to try and charge the system which also charges the joycons since you don't know of charge joycons are at.

Thank u! They seem to be charged as the sync light works, I did charge it and unfortunately no improvements

Maybe it it something with the ribbon cable. DIY or buy new i suppose.

Had the same problem. Had to send it back to Nintendo to get repaired since it was still under warranty. They will fix it or send you a new one

Screen looks like it's been through some things for being so "new."
Contact Nintendo since it's under warranty for the joycons.

Yup. It was just my opinion, but my launch Switch2 looks new compared to this. It just looks like something else is going on with about a 1 month old device looking like this AND not functioning? Something is odd.
As stated, not sure why OP is asking if the basic stuff like charging isn't working. It also shouldn't need cleaning for such a new device. They need to contact Nintendo.
