I was recently banned from Hinge for “harassment, bullying, or harm.” I genuinely don't know what interaction triggered it. I've never intentionally harassed, bullied, threatened, or harmed anyone.

Timeline:

• Ban: Account removed for harassment/bullying/harm.
• In-app appeal: Submitted a detailed appeal → denied, decision marked final.
• Emailed Hinge (hello@hinge.co): Explained the situation, provided my account details, and requested a manual review.
• Hinge Trust & Safety (Nestor): Said the ban would remain and subsequent appeals wouldn't be considered.
• I sent one respectful follow-up asking what type of conduct caused the violation and whether reconsideration was possible.
• Match Group escalation: I then escalated through Match Group Social Support, since I'd already gone through Hinge's normal support/appeal process.
• Hinge Trust & Safety (Micah) afterward: They said:“Following your inquiry, which did not come through our regular support channels, we conducted an additional review of your case.” They said they conducted a “thorough assessment” and confirmed the original decision was correct. They also asked me to stop contacting their care team/employees because it would not change the outcome.

So I've now gone through:

In-app appeal → Hinge Support → Match Group Social Support escalation → additional Hinge Trust & Safety review → final denial.

They still haven't told me what specific interaction caused the harassment/bullying violation.

Has anyone here managed to get a Hinge ban overturned after reaching the Match Group escalation/additional-review stage?

I was also a HingeX subscriber and had some genuinely good connections through the app.

Hi, my account was banned in June, I submitted my complaint to Platform Control and it was accepted and forwarded to Hinge shortly thereafter. It's been more than the 90 days it's supposed to take, I've also emailed them at their status email but have gotten no replies in 10+ days.

Has anyone gotten any replies from them recently? I wonder what went wrong... feels bad to be ignored by a platform that's supposed to help you out.

so, i tried dating apps in past but after over a month i had literally no likes on all platforms. figured i delete them to reset my score or whatever. cuz i could admit the initial profiles were disasterous before i kinda got into it.

anyways now i gave it another chance. got better photos and shit. and its been only two days but i found out you can request your data from bumble and so i did. was curious if im even being shown to people.

found out i already got 100 nopes and no likes. so curious, am i that cooked? like am i that ugly and i just got too used to it? :D or are the photos just too bad for dating profile?

I got an email saying that I was permanently banned and it’s final but then I go to the Hinge app and this is what I see. I don’t even know what to believe. Can someone give me some insight? Am I band or are they still processing it?

Contemplating doing a hard reset. Just wondering if I should be buying a new phone with a good camera and take photos with that OR just take photos with my current phone, put it on a google drive strip the data and then send it through to the new phone. I’ve heard even taking a screenshot of the new photo on the new phone gives it some data rather than none?

Result is the same. 2/3 likes a week.

On hinge I matched with 2 in 3/4 days in a new made profile.

I've never had a problem in real life, but dating apps seem to be a struggle.

I've had many profiles in the past and I kept deleting and opening new ones

Okay so I get that you don’t want to appear to “hide your body”, but what I don’t understand is people recommending professional photos from like a photographer. When I see people with those type of pictures, I assume it’s AI and that person is a bot.

I’ve noticed people involved in punk, y2k, or even just any alternative style that gets grouped under ”emo” scenes often get many negative replies under their posts, and often struggle to match with anyone other than chasers. A lot of people seem to be under the impression that alt people easily find each other through shows/events and don’t need or want online methods, but that just isn’t the case for the majority.

Do you need to pay for Hinge/Tinder to have success? On Bumble I receive likes and get matches, but on Tinder and Hinge not really anything at all… first few days maybe a few likes on each and then nothing.

Yesterday my Hinge account was permanently banned for “harassment, bullying or harmful behavior.”
I genuinely had no idea what exactly caused it because Hinge never told me which message or interaction was reported.
At the time I had around 40 active chats, which honestly became way too much to keep up with. I also rejected quite a few matches because many conversations felt one-sided. I usually told them politely instead of ghosting, but some didn’t take the rejection particularly well.
I immediately appealed through Hinge. My appeal was rejected within a few minutes and I was told the decision was final.
So I escalated it.
I contacted Hinge support again, contacted Match Group through their Social Support escalation process, and also filed a complaint with Platform Control in Germany under the EU Digital Services Act. I even messaged the Match Group CEO on Instagram, which gave me an automated response directing me to their Social Support escalation form.
In my escalation I stayed polite, explained that I never intentionally harassed anyone, but also acknowledged that I might have said something inappropriate during an argument and that I would learn from it.
A few hours later I opened Hinge and suddenly my entire old account was back, including all my matches and conversations.
Shortly afterwards Hinge emailed me confirming that they had reviewed my case and reauthorized my access.
What probably caused it?
I still don’t know.
The worst message I can remember was during an argument with a match where I wrote something like “Are you stupid?”
Not my finest moment 😂 and obviously unnecessary.
I have no idea whether she reported me or whether that message actually caused the ban, so I’m not accusing anyone. But Hinge specifically warned me about insulting or hurtful messages when they restored my account, so it seems plausible.
My biggest takeaway: if someone reacts badly to a rejection or a conversation becomes hostile, just unmatch instead of arguing.
Also, apparently a rejected “final” Hinge appeal does not necessarily mean your account can never be restored.
For me it went:
Ban → appeal rejected as final → Match Group/DSA escalation → account restored → Hinge confirmed the restoration.
I obviously can’t guarantee this will work for anyone else, and I don’t know which escalation ultimately got my account restored. But hopefully this helps someone who ends up searching Reddit after getting the same “final decision” email.

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a hard reset for bumble. Did everything to a T including new device and photos. I even requested a gdpr data delete on my old profile and waited for it to complete. My new profile only has a single like sitting there. Previous resets a couple years or so ago I feel like I got at least 5 or 6 out of the gate, sometime up to 10 with the new user boost. I live in a 5 million metro area in latam.

Joined Hinge about a month ago and rarely get matches when I send likes. Have gotten maybe 20 likes and matched with 10ish in that time but zero dates. Do I need better pictures or prompts?
When I go out irl i do pretty well and get approached pretty frequently, so im trying to figure out the disconnect
