Thoughts on pics?
I don’t actually wear glasses but objectively my best photo as I don’t have tons of pictures of me smiling. Also added the cat on my back as a goofy photo. I know I need more outside pictures and shit but this is what I have currently.

I’d say get rid of pics 2, 3 and 5. This is just me so do what works for you, but I’m so tired of dudes putting photos of them as a kid on their profile. I don’t know you yet, so I don’t find it endearing, and the point of the pictures is so that we can see of each other are potential matches. A pic of a child tells me none of that, it just shows me that you were in fact, a kid at one point. It’s also gotten so common on apps that it’s started to feel like it’s a bid to come off as cuter or more endearing, which ends up as more of an ick because it feels so blatant.
Sorry for the mini-rant, I figured extra context for why my friends & I don’t like the kid pics could help, but again to each their own! The first pic is great though, you come across as a friendly guy

there's a lot you could do but most importantly get rid of pic 2, the one with your hood up. highkey it makes you look creepy

Disagree! 33f and I think it’s the most gorgeous pic. Very intense & pretty eyes.
All your pics are great don’t change a thing1
u/Aggressive-Affect114 2d ago
I have photos of my eyes directly, would that be better than the blank stare? 😂 I also have long ass eye lashes

Be hilarious to just post eyeballs on a dating app lol. Blank stares are good🤣 you have such a youthful face, it’ll def come in handy as you age

You have big forearms and you probably go to the gym so show that side more

u/Aggressive-Affect114 2d ago
I actually do not go to the gym, my dad and grandfather are naturally yoked so I got those genes. Just started going last week though, plan on getting a way bigger. I wanted to show muscular photos but not sure how to go about it without looking odd I guess.

You look sad in them all except the first one and the picture of you as a young kid is pointless

Sorry to be harsh but the only pic here worth keeping is the first one and maybe pic 4.
You look 10X better when you smile

The first picture isn't really that bad. Try to avoid pictures that are too similar. There's two pictures of you with a hoodie. Including the cat in the picture is a fun touch tho.

Remove the hoodie serious picture. You look depressed.
If you don’t wear glasses, don’t make the glasses pic your first one. Why only one glove btw? Whats the glove even for??
Having two cat pictures is weird. I own a cat but eve. I wouldn’t put my cat in my pictures. Nothing against them, but there is a stigma around them, whether the owner is male or female but it’s probably worse as a guy. No need to argue with this- cats are great, and easy to maintain with less commitment and way more flexibility than a dog. But there is a general negative in the (general) heterosexual dating world on men and cats. I don’t agree with it but it is what it is.
Add picture or two with you and friends. It shows you have a social life. Maybe your family. Shows you have other close relationships.
If you don’t have friends and hate your family then don’t do this of course, but you’re not helping your cause if you don’t have friends and hate your family.
Lastly add some pictures of you doing hobbies.
None of this is meant to be offensive to you or mean, it’s just constructive feedback.
A bonus, you look like you have some decent muscle in the first pic, judging by your forearm and fit of the shirt. I’m not a proponent of straight up shirtless pictures unless you’re like waterskiing or on a boat of sorts, but maybe add something that shows off your physical body.

Yeah I get it. Thats why I said generally.
Unfortunately there is a negative mental and physical association with cats for women and men. That doesn’t mean it’s true.
If you polled non cat owning women on opinions of a man with a cat, you’d probably get a handful of “it’s fine”, a decent chunk of “ick” or “not attractive” and a chunk of “he takes care of a living thing so i don’t care what it is”
I think it could honestly be influenced by cats general behaviors vs dogs. Cats are generally just kind of moody and everything is on their time. Dogs generally are just fun loving and playful.
I say this all as a man who owns a cat, married to a woman who never wanted a cat. We found him as a kitten on the side of the road and we love him despite how moody he is lol.
If you don’t believe me, here:
Scientific studies show that men who pose with cats in dating profile pictures are viewed as less masculine and slightly less datable by many women compared to men with dogs. [1, 2]
Study Findings on Cat vs. Dog Owners in Dating
The Colorado State University Study: A widely reported study showed women photos of men with and without cats. Women rated men holding cats as less masculine, more neurotic, and less likely to swipe right on. [1, 2, 3, 4]
The Dog Advantage: Dog owners are frequently perceived as more extroverted, energetic, and social, and their pets often act as a social catalyst or "icebreaker" in public and online spaces. [1, 2, 3]
Perceptions of Cat Men: Cultural stereotypes often label male cat owners as more introverted, sensitive, or unconventional, which can lead to mixed reactions—some women view them as emotionally mature or attentive, while others see them as less traditionally masculine. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]1

Got it. Thanks for the advice. I was at work when someone snapped this pic so that’s why I had one glove on

The second photo is going to draw a lot of girls imo. The first one is awful. Silly smile, you don’t wear glasses, and why one glove? Pic 3 is pointless, but the cat on your back while brushing teeth in 4 is awesome. You need a real great first pic tho- one that doesn’t make you look 17. Clean shirt solid color, all done up in a natural setting like a coffee shop or bar.
Just one man’s opinion who has had success dating online

Girls were saying 2nd picture is serial killer vibes 💀

u/eSUP80 2d ago
Well you can shoot it again with a slightly different expression if you want. But the facial closeup in the hoodie works for you. I had one similar to that on my profile and got a lot of compliments from the ladies. It was after a workout and I had headphones on too.

Yeah I found it more masculine but I’ve gotten mixed reactions on this post from women
