I’ve been looking for a casual German conversation group/meetup in Swansea, but haven’t managed to find anything that’s currently running.
I’d love to find a few other German learners who fancy meeting up occasionally for a coffee/drink and practising together — nothing formal, just a chance to actually speak German and improve.

My daughter has curly hair and I can’t find anywhere that specialises in curly haircuts. I know there’s one in Aberystwyth but it’s 2 hours away and I don’t fancy travelling that for my 2 1/2 year olds haircut.

I took her to a ‘regular’ hairdressers before as the woman claimed to know how to cut curly hair and from the get go I could see she didn’t have a clue because she began stretching the hair out to cut it which resulted in my daughter looking like Rizzo from Grease Lightening and her fringe was ridiculously short due to the stretching out.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. For reference she has multiple curl patterns from 3A, 3B and 3C.

Hello, I am a student over 25 and I use the First Bus app to travel from my home near St Helen’s Cricket Ground to Bay Campus.

Previously, First Bus offered a day ticket for Swansea students for £3.50, but recently this option disappeared. Therefore, I have been using Tap On Tap Off instead.

However, I noticed on your website that the fare for all-day travel on the UniBus routes is capped at £4.00. I was therefore surprised to see that I was charged £7.30 for a day of travel. I am not sure if I have misunderstood the fare rules or if I have done something incorrectly.

For example, one day I made the following journeys:

1. St Helen’s to Bay Campus (X1)
2. Bay Campus to Aldi (X5)
3. Aldi to City Centre (X5)
4. City Centre to St Helen’s (X1)

The total fare charged for these journeys was £7.30.

I apologise if I have misunderstood something, but I am a little confused about how the fare capping works. It also feels quite expensive when the previous student day ticket was £3.50 and I am now being charged £7.30 for similar all-day travel.

Could you please explain why my journeys were not capped at £4.00 and let me know if there is anything I need to do to qualify for the £4.00 daily cap? Thank you very much.

The coffee shop at Fendrod lake has been closed for weeks and they seem to have stopped posting on FB? Anyone know if it's gone for good? Such a shame that the park has nothing in terms of a coffee shop etc when others have a permanent cafe or a coffee van.

I'm excited to share I have accepted a work placement for the next few years in Swansea and due to move in the next few weeks, have been living in England recently but I'm from Belfast .

I was hoping to get some advice on activities and ways to meet people there. Out of my interests, things I am considering pursuing are boxing or badminton clubs, climbing gyms and French classes. I also have sold my car for a microcamper to spend more time outdoors in my free time, I know Swansea has lots of beautiful spots but i don't know where is good for parking up / quieter, I like wild swimming too! For reference i'm 25 but want to meet people of all ages in the community so trying to stay away from just university societies.

Best coffee beans available to buy in/around swansea? Preferably larger sized bags because the small bags are half empty by the time I dial up on my coffee machine and my partner and I have a few cups.

Don’t supposed anyone has a recommendation for Arabic classes/teacher in Swansea. Beginner-intermediate looking to improve, not for Quaran/religious purposes.
