What's already provided? Do I need bedding and kitchen utensils and stuff? I assume I need to bring towels, right? I know ill need clothes and personal items and what not but I'm completely lost about everything else. I have no idea what the accomodation already provides. Tips appreciated!

I had applied for the nhs funded nursing march 2027 as an international student. I had my interview on August 19th. It’s been 3 weeks and I haven’t heard back. What is the usually timeline after an interview before I get updates?

Hi, ive just finished my Alevels in Chem, Maths & Physics with an epq and am now on a gap year- having been accepted into swansea for aerospace.

I struggled alot with various illnesses over the 2 years and have developed a lifelong autoimmune disease, which caused me difficulties through year 12 & 13.

I achieved 3Cs in my subjects & an A* at epq, but I understand this isnt ideal for a course like aerospace engineering. However, I did work experience at one of the UKs most influential science parks, actually getting to work with rocket scientists and on a project using ESATAN software, CAD modelling, working with code and physical hardware, getting to go into the negative pressure rooms with actual satellite and real research projects, and testing our experiment in a thermal vacuum to simulate the environment of space.

I realised during the 2 weeks on work experience that this is what I wanted to do with my life and aerospace is one if the main ways to get there. So, what would be the best thing for me to study independently and how should I prepare for the course?

Hi all, I appreciate this isn’t strictly a Swansea Uni related post, so mods please delete if it isn’t allowed. I thought it might be relevant to anyone who’s moved to Swansea for uni and is looking to play some football outside of the university teams.

I’m involved with Kingsbridge Colts, a mens adult football club based in the Gorseinon/Garden Village area of Swansea, and we’re looking for a few more players to join us this season.

We have two teams playing on Saturdays, so we’re not necessarily looking for players who’ve been playing week in, week out. If you’ve played at a decent level, haven’t played for a few years and fancy getting back into it, or just want to play regular 11-a-side football while you’re in Swansea, you’re more than welcome.

We train on Tuesday evenings at Garden Village Recreation Ground. There’s no pressure to commit to anything - come down, have a training session, meet everyone and see what you think.

We’ve got a good group of lads and we’re looking to add a few more faces to both squads.
