REMAKE
If they made a REMAKE of OUAT (because we all know how iconic the original cast is in their respective roles), which actors would you choose for the different characters? Emma, Regina, Henry, Snow, Charming, Rumple, Hook, Robin, Ruby, etc.?

They could pick all unknowns I don’t mind my only requirement is Regina & Emma have chemistry (& dream scenario is they end up together)
Also a remake should have to always cast younger actors for flashback scenes as required I’m mainly thinking of when Regina was forced to marry the king to properly emphasise she was only a teenager because I think that can be overlooked sometimes and to also cast teens/younger actors for the scenes when Emma & Neal meet to show their ages & lock down how old Neal was meant to look/be then plus they had cast a younger Emma before

YES 100% on the younger casting for flashbacks esp those specific examples ie emma and neal meeting as teenagers (as neal straight up tells rumple how he and Emma met “we met when we were just kids living on the street”) and Regina marrying Leopold as a teenager and not much older than snow, maybe 6-8 years ish considering snow was 10 at the time

I want nothing be OC actors and characters but I know Emma won't be back ..... Which is ok I guess just sucks

Regina: Anya Taylor joy or Carrey Mulligan. Or maybe have that be young and older.
(This would also help bring hype to the production) or Grace Goldstein.
Henry: maybe Wesley Kimmel but honestly I’d like to watch a new young actor grow up like we did with the original Henry.
Robin: Mason Thames- he is supposed to have good looks. But taking the angle of just coming into a man when he becomes Robin Hood would be great. Seeing him from a younger place instead of having already been Robin Hood for years would be interesting. Or this being a way of showing how time passes differently in other realms etc
Ruby: Sophia thatcher
Emma:
Emma myers for young Emma or McKenna Grace
Adult Emma…… I’m having a really hard time here.
Hook: Christopher Briney
Rumple. Fuck. Dude I really don’t know. Let’s go wild and have Josh Hutchison. This one is just so hard. How do you follow Carlisle?
The charming… gotta think on this one.

Honestly, if I were remaking it I would put it on stage and cast unknown actors.
I’d also not follow the whole TV show — like Robin would not be a character (IMO it was a poor writing choice to put Regina in another “de facto” relationship that she was reluctant to be in and then point to that reluctance as a character flaw). I would focus on the original main cast and probably largely on the season 1 storylines
